Broxies are “Underwear Evolved!” What does that mean? The name Broxies comes from the mom inventor’s childhood in South Africa where girl briefs are called, “Broekies” (pronounced “brookies”). Take a pair of broekies, add some “Moxie” – confidence, spirit and fearlessness – and you have Broxies!
Broxies were designed for girls who love to play while keeping up with the boys. You know, girls who have moxie! I have one of those for sure and jumped at the chance to try a pair for MomStart. I was excited see how they would offer modesty and fancy free comfort.
Broxies are made to, “Fit true to size and are perfect for under her favorite skirt or dress, Broxies are best for handstands, twirly dancing and serious monkey business. So, ditch the shorts and join the revolution! Broxies aren’t just underwear – they’re underwear evolved.”
Broxies are certainly cute but what I found was that they were super thin and see through. My daughter was not comfortable with this and I would not send her out to do handstands and twirlies and serious monkey business in her dress wearing these alone. A pair of bike shorts over the broxies is needed, for sure! As far as comfort goes, I got a yes and no answer – Yes they are comfy but they ride up her legs after a bit when you wear them alone and are uncomfortable wearing them under shorts or leggings.
What they worked fabulous for was a girls only sleep over with jammies and the comfort of your favorite blanket! She didn’t feel like she needed to put shorts on with her jammies and they are comfortable to sleep in! That is what fancy free is all about, hanging with the girls!
Broxies are available on line at broxies.com and range in price from $18 for a single pair to $26 for a 2 pack plus shipping.
