Boys & Girls Clubs of America Tools for Back To School

Just recently I visited a Boys and Girls Club in Nashville Tennessee and I found out just how wonderful the Boys and Girls Club there is and how hard the staff works there to support all of those amazing children. Many of the kids in that particular Boys and Girls Club are under-privileged children who need food, education, and love and the program there is SO Amazing. During the summer time they worked with the local food bank to feed these children that would otherwise have no lunch. Now that school is starting to get back in session The Boys and Girls Club will still reach out to children in need ALL Boys and Girls Clubs of America work very hard to help children. They even offer resources to parents. BGCA offers different educational content and tip sheets for parents to download and utilize. You can find them on the left hand side of the BGCA site under the ‘Get Ready’ header.

The Boys and Girls Club of America as a whole (BGCA) and Disney have partnered to launch the Tools for Back to School initiative. This initiative features a pop-quiz style game, where supplies are donated to BGCA for every correct answer you score.

How do you prepare for back to school? This is the first year that my daughter is going to be in school. She starts Kindergarten so we went to Target together and picked out all of her supplies. I was surprised at how much a Kindergartener needs. If you can you should consider picking up some extra supplies and donatinv them to your local school, if you can’t get extra supplies then you should take the time to take the pop-quiz style game so some school supplies are donated.

BGCA has also partnered with jcpenney – and in August you can join jcp cares and round up your purchase at the register to benefit BGCA. While you’re buying clothing for you kids at JCP then be sure to round up.
