Bistro MD caught my attention over twitter about a month ago. They asked me if I was interested in testing out the meal plan and I agreed. I had no idea that they were going to send me a whole week’s worth of food including breakfast lunch and dinner. I figured they would send me maybe three samples. Nope, it was a weeks worth and it was a lot of food. After re-arranging the freezer I got it all to fit and started enjoying the food.

How does it taste?
That’s a very good question. The food to me is like restaurant style food. Much more elaborate combinations than I usually cook at home. The only thing missing was the salt. I could taste plenty of other flavors but I did have to salt and the reason is they have made a very low sodium meal plan for freezer food. So salt to taste as long as your doctor is ok with it. Your meal’s calories will fluctuate between 1100-1400 per day on the seven day meal plans with snacks. About 40-45% of these calories are from protein, 30-35% come from carbohydrates and 20-25% come from fat.
