Summer has been giving us Bento Box ideas for a few months now and I wanted to know if her kids always eat their lunches. So she wrote me a little feature about her kids and the little things she does to get a variety of healthy items in their lunch each day.
Do both your kids ate all of these lunches?
The answer is yes and no. My kids eat the same general lunches each day but it is rare that there isn’t some sort of variation. I have an example below. My younger son likes more varieties of foods than my older son.
Here I had to use some peaches from a cup that was cracked. Only my younger son likes them so my older son gets the remaining leftover watermelon. Also one pasta is plain for my older son and for my younger son the pasta has pesto. My older son likes parmesan cheese but my younger son doesn’t; my younger son likes cheese curds but my older son doesn’t. Both have the same vegetables and protein.
They have the same lunch in two different ways using food that needed to be eaten (so I didn’t go out of my way) and it was all easy to pack.
