New York Times best-selling author, illustrator, Academy Award-winning filmmaker and Emmy Award winner, William Joyce is releasing two children’s books in the imaginative and innovative series “The Guardians” and “The Guardians of Childhood.” Joyce is also the creator and co-director of the upcoming DreamWorks feature film adaptation of the series The Rise of The Guardians, starring Chris Pine, Isla Fisher, Hugh Jackman, Alec Baldwin and Jude Law, in theaters November 11, 2012.

The imaginative new books are part of Joyce’s two series for children and young adults. “The Sandman” is the second picture book in the luminous series for children of all ages called The Guardians of Childhood.“Toothania” is the third book in the chapter books series called The Guardians designed for young adults.
“When my kids were young, they asked about where Santa came from and where the Easter Bunny lived. My daughter inspired me to do the series when she asked, ‘do they all know each other?,’” said William Joyce, creator of The Guardians series. “My vision is to explain the mythology for these classic characters in picture, film and story form.

William Joyce has achieved world-wide recognition as an author, illustrator and pioneer in the digital and animation industry.
