We receive bacon samples from Hormel.
Now this gets me excited to get out of bed in the morning. From our friends at Hormel we have this amazing Bacon Pancakes recipe.
Bacon Pancakes Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
- 1 large egg
- 10 slices HORMEL® BLACK LABEL® Bacon
- Butter, to serve
- Maple syrup, to serve
Directions
- To make batter, in medium bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt; mix well. Make well in center. Add buttermilk and egg to flour mixture; stir until smooth.
- Grease large nonstick skillet. Pour 1/4 cup batter into skillet; cook 2 minutes or until bubbles appear on top of pancakes. Lay 2 or 3 slices bacon across pancake; turn over. Cook 1 to 2 minutes longer; transfer to plate. Top with butter; drizzle with maple syrup. Repeat with remaining batter and bacon.
