As part of the Hormel Family I’m excited to share another really great and tasty recipe that’s perfect for Easter. Actually it’s perfect for anytime you’re craving eggs and bacon. Try this Bacon Topped Deviled Eggs Recipe with Hormel Real Bacon Bits that I have found to be very tasty as I have used them as a garnish on top of soups!
½ cup mayonnaise
½ cup HORMEL® Real Bacon Bits plus more for garnish
2 tablespoons finely shredded Cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon mustard
1. Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring water to a boil and immediately remove from heat. Cover and let eggs stand in hot water 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from hot water and cool. To cool more quickly, rinse eggs under cold running water.
2. Peel hard-cooked eggs and cut in half lengthwise. Remove yolks to a small bowl. Mash egg yolks with mayonnaise, bacon bits and cheese. Stir in mustard. Fill egg white halves with yolk mixture. Sprinkle more bits on top. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
