You learn something new every day…and we bet you didn’t know that August is National Panini Month! Since the kids are home from school for the summer, the whole family can celebrate National Panini Month by experimenting with different panini dishes in the kitchen. Paninis are great because you can combine all different types of meats, vegetables and cheeses, while still ending up with a delicious sandwich! As part of the Hormel Family I wanted to share this fabulous Bacon and Spinach Panini Recipe with you.
1 (7-inch) loaf focaccia bread
12 slices Hormel® Fully Cooked Bacon
1 cup loosely packed fresh spinach
8 (3/4-ounce) slices sharp Cheddar cheese
Lightly coat focaccia with cooking spray.
Slice focaccia in half horizontally. Place 6 slices bacon on bottom half; layer with spinach, cheese and remaining 6 slices bacon. Cover with top half of focaccia.
Place sandwich in Panini grill or other contact grill; grill 6 minutes or until sandwich is toasted and cheese is melted.
