With my background in computer science I adore reviewing technology products but I can’t keep them all it’s just too many products. So the Epson Expression XP-400 Wireless Printer went to my church. I was going to set it up but then ended up going on a blogging trip so I just dropped it off, expecting to have to help them do it at a later time but guess what, it’s so easy to set up WiFi and on your computer that I wasn’t needed. They set it up and were printing before I got back. So when I arrived it was working and they LOVE it.
Connecting to a Wireless Network
The Expression XP-400 Wi-Fi n certification delivers greater coverage and faster speeds over competitive allin-ones in its price range1. Set-up is simple and only takes a few steps to complete. Just follow the instructions on the printer, it’s EASY.
Mobile Printing with EPSON Connect
The Expression XP-400 provides several free ways to print and scan from anywhere. With EPSON Connect, conveniently print documents, photos, e-mails, and web pages from the comfort of the couch or office, or even across the globe. All you need is the new Expression XP-400 small-in-one and your smartphone, tablet or computer.
USES of the Epson XP-400 Printer
I have used it to scan wirelessly to my computer and to an SD card. I’ve also just made copies and printed up a photo. It saves us time at church because we can print from anywhere in the building which is really nice. The quality is great, it does seem to use a lot of ink, but I’m not sure how many different people are using the printer.
Before printing, please make sure that the correct paper type has been selected in the printer driver. The Expression XP-400 printer driver offers several print modes to give customers a selection of quality and speed settings. Please note: Not all modes can be used with all paper types. It is important to select the appropriate media setting in the driver so the Expression XP-400 can adjust ink coverage accordingly for optimal results.
Standalone Photo Printing
The Expression XP-400 allows you to view and print photos directly from a memory card or digital camera using the 2.5” LCD. There is also a little bit of editing capabilities. The Epson XP-400 restores old, faded, discolored photos back to their original brilliance using the Epson Scan software. For instructions on photo restoration, please reference the online User’s Guide.
Thank you to Epson for the printer that I was able to donate to my church.
