Movie junkie right here, yes I love to watch movies and if it’s a good one I watch it over and over again. Yes, my new favorite movie is Avatar the only draw back is that it is 3 hours long and with my time limitations it takes me almost three nights to watch it. If I put it on as soon as the kids go to bed then I can watch it in two nights, I mean, I only have 2 hours to myself every night.
I was comforted this weekend, when I found out that there are still people out there that have not watched this wonderful movie. I was worried that I was one of the last people to actually watch it. Twentieth Century Fox Entertainment sent me a copy of Avatar to watch and review. Thank You!, I loved it.
Oscar and Golden Globe® winning epic is the highest grossing film of all time, taking in over $2.6 billion in worldwide box office. Director James Cameron takes audiences to a spectacular world beyond imagination, where a reluctant hero embarks on a journey of redemption and discovery as he leads a heroic battle to save a civilization. AVATAR delivers a fully immersive cinematic experience of a new kind, where the revolutionary technology invented to make the film disappears into the emotion of the characters and the epic nature of the story.
Avatar is James Cameron’s new hit movie that was released to DVD and Blu-Ray on Earth day, April 22. What is it about? Man has moved off of our own planet, of course there seems to be a looming fact that our own planet is trashed, but we still have dollar signs stuck in our eyes and inhabit a strange, savage planet because we ant to take their precious mineral. The Navi, that are the intelligent species of the planet, have no use for it, but we just feel we can take it and kill as many of the Navi as it takes to get what we want.
However, there is a scientist that has been working with the Navi, learning their language, their culture and how the planet works together. Every creature is linked to each other through their god. It is her goal to work out a deal with the Navi, and thus saving as many lives as she can. She falls out of favor with them, and it is through an accidental relationship that she is reintroduced to the Navi, but that’s not even half of the story. We all have to learn to see and that we can not take what is not ours.
The colors, the graphics, the special effects, everything about this movie is over the top and nicely done. I can’t get anything done when I’m watching Avatar because I am completely mesmerized by what is going on. I didn’t receive a Blu-ray copy, but I can only imagine how much better it looks. I was told it was even more spectacular in 3D at the movie theater.
