Kailani says “In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response”. You should go to Kailani’s site and link up with Mr. Linky, but don’t be rude, be sure and answer her question
My Question:
What’s your favorite memory with your father?
Oh wow, this is a hard question maybe I shouldn’t have asked. I have so many good memories of my dad. I loved how he looked at my children when he came to visit. I loved that he came to my wedding and walked me down the aisle. I think for now I’m going to go with when I went off to college. He knew he wasn’t going to help me in college. So he told me, if someone offers to help, don’t say no. It’s ok to accept help when you need it. Now that I’ve picked that one I can think of so many more. hmm
He always played with my step sister and I. We had the best game nights
I grew up in a single parent home, mom only so no moments but I am sooooo blessed that I have a wonderful husband who is an equally amazing father so my daughter’s will be able to have lots a great father/daughter moments and memories. 🙂
So hard to pick just one. I always loved going on camping trips with my dad.
You’re right, it is hard to pick just one. But I loved the time we spent just watching tv on Fri. and Sat. nights. He’d crack me up with the stuff he’d say and always bought us pizza and/or ice cream.
Yes, this is hard. Probably when he taught me how to ride my bike, or dirtbike.
My favorite memory of my dad is him teaching me to roller skate at a very young age.
Every weekend when I’d get dressed up as a little girl & dad would take me out to the mall & dinner & a movie! Lots of fun.
Wow, that is tough! One of mine would be my dad teaching me to fish in Canada on vacation when I was a kid.
My father and I weren’t really close until my oldest son was born so sadly I don’t have too many great memories with him.
The last time, which may be the last time, I was with him. 🙂

Um, probably him walking me down the isle!
Favorite memories of my father are going and seeing him act like a kid at Disney World. He was always working so hard, but let go when there.
This is a tough question. Probably fishing with my dad.
I was a daddys girl and have many great memories Perhaps it was the one where he would bring watermellon to my children on a hot summer day to allow me a break That was a great memory his smile, his hat, his dark black hair and oh those haircuts he had me give him becasue he said I was as good as the barber LOL you have no idea he was a great dad who left this life to early
I was never that close with my dad but could wright a book about the good times with my grandfather who I looked at as my father anyways
That even though he worked many jobs to provide for his family, he always took us out exploring the country and world every summer.
There was one time, many years ago when I was living in the dorms. It was my Freshman year so like 1999 or 2000. I called my dad at work to say hi (he liked hearing how things were going) and something happened. To this day I don’t know what, but it tickled me funny and I began to laugh. Well he answered the phone and I was laughing up a storm and could barely speak. Next thing I know, my dad is starting to laugh too. In the end we had to hang up because we were both hysterical. We never could remember what it was that got us going in the first place but we both know it was one of the best laughs we’ve ever had.
I don’t know my father.
None. But I’ve got lots with my grandfather. 🙂
I have a lot of really good ones, too! I don’t even think I could choose just one! He still does such fantastic things for me!
When I was really young I can remember sitting on his lap with him 🙂
Probably fishing with him when I was a little kid.
Probably just hanging out watching silly movies we’ve seen over and over and quoting all the lines together!
There are just too many to list. I would just have to say that my parents were separated and we had every other weekend with my dad. We did all kinds of activities and I just can’t pick one.
My favorite memory of my great grandfather (he raised me) would be when he used to put me on his lap and let me steer the wheel. Once he even let me and my friend ride to the park in the trunk (the trunk was open) probably not the safest thing we were teenagers at the time and for some reason we really wanted to do! Thanks for the memories!
Dancing with him to the Beach Boys records in our living room, lol.
When I was little, my dad used to take me fishing every weekend. I really miss that.
