I was sitting somewhere with my husband, I actually think it was in an airport and we were watching the TV overhead and a commercial came on. It was the Connecting Flights video and we thought at first it was a movie preview. My husband started saying, Louise, it’s your movie. We have to go see that, and I said yeah, it looks like a good movie to see together then we saw the ending and we both just cracked up for thinking it was going to be a movie. Ahhh, true love in an airport..Take a look at this video
I’m in airports all of the time. All of the time. I’m even writing this post while sitting in the airport. My kids are sitting with me and my husband is on the other end. And I find myself thinking of connecting with others in the airport. Most of the time I just stick to myself and work, flying and sitting in an airport without my family is usually the best time for me to get work done. However, I have met a few characters over the past few years. In one flight in particular I met a young man who wanted to become an intern at Disney. He wanted to start working in PR, so I explained to him what I do. I’m a blogger and I gave him one of my business cards. It was a by chance encounter where I could actually help him. I have connections at Disney and work with them and their PR from time to time. I left the ball in his court though and he never contacted me. Maybe he lost my card or maybe he didn’t believe me. Who knows but he made my flight to LA super duper short.
Of course the best traveling is with my kids.
This post is brought to you by Sears. I’m being compensated to help them promote the Connecting Flight campaign.
We ran into my husband’s football buddy from University of San Diego in Terminal 5 at London Heathrow. If you’ve ever been, Heathrow is like a small city itself!
