I travel a lot and wish I had a connection no matter where I am. Traveling is the best time I have to work. No kids so no interruptions and if I have to sit there with no internet I feel like I’m wasting so much time. How much is it worth to be able to work from anywhere? That I’m really not sure about yet but trying out the NetZero 4G HotSpot made me even more interested in finding out how to have it all the time and if NetZero 4G Mobile Broadband devices might actually be the answer.
This portable and personal 4G hotspot lets you enjoy secure, super-fast 4G Internet for up to eight devices simultaneously. Just connect your Wi-Fi-enabled device(s), select one of their low cost data plans and you’re ready to go. I traveled to quite a few different places using the NetZero 4G Hotspot. First I hooked it up at home and connected my iPad. It worked just fine. Secondly, I traveled to LA and at the airport while I was waiting on my ride I connected again. Then I also tried using it in the Caribbean but it didn’t work there even though we were in a US occupied area. Then in another location I was in, Chicago, I was also able to get a connection and I forgot my password which was so frustrating because the hotspot was up, and my computer found it but I couldn’t connect without the password. DANG it!
Thinking about the cost:
Anytime I want to connect in an airport or in a hotel it’s around 12-17 a day and in the hotels that adds up. Usually the company I’m staying there with will pay the internet cost at the hotel but sometimes I end up getting charged and it would be nice to not pay for that. So if I think, I travel 1 a month and gone for three days that’s about 36.00 a month on internet fees in addition to what I pay at home.
The Cost of NetZero:
Purchase this device for $49 usually $98.
- No Contract
- No Commitment

Thinking about what I liked:
I liked the size of the hotspot, I liked how easy it was to set up and connect to when I remembered the password. The coverage wasn’t 100% but it was much better than the service I received over boingo. I once paid for service only to be connected to nothing in Chicago, I was so angry, and I had 3 bars in Chicago with NetZero, so I was happy enough.
I didn’t like having to remember the connection password.
