Next week I’ll be in Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom staying at the Animal Kingdom lodge learning all about animals. The reason? We’re celebrating the new movie Zootopia that comes to theaters on March 4th. Here at Momstart you’ve already seen three different behind the scenes posts on Zootopia so you should be very familiar with the storyline. But because we’re always growing I want to make sure I still share with you the gist of the movie………
Zootopia was carefully crafted to be an “Animal Kingdom” where the animals all interact with each other with the same biasis we see in the real animal kingdom. Certain creatures do not get along with each other and are considered enemies. This holds true in Zootopia where we follow Judy Hops (Ginnifer Goodwin) the cute little bunny with big dreams and how she meets the sly fox (Jason Bateman) Nick Wilde who is always looking at an angle to get ahead. These two will end up partnering up to solve a bigger crime while trying to stay alive. We will be interviewing both Jason Bateman and Ginnifer Goodwin and my daughter is super jealous because she adores Ginnifer. We’re already good friends as you’ll see in this photo below…..
We will be screening the movie and watching an introduction given by introduction given by Directors Byron Howard & Rich Moore and Producer Clark Spencer, Writer and Co-director Jared Bush and Dr. Mark Penning (Vice President, Animals, Science and Environment, Disney Parks). These guys are super creative and I’m sure I’ll learn even more tidbits about Zootopia to share with you all. If you have any questions pertaining to Zootopia please let me know so I can ask them at the interview.
Because we’re staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge we will also be spending a great deal of time at the Walt Disney Parks. I’m excited to see what’s new since it’s been a few years since I’ve been there.
About the hotel
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is an African-themed deluxe resort at the Walt Disney World Resort. It opened on April 16, 2001. The resort is owned and operated by Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is located in the Animal Kingdom Resort Area, adjacent to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It gives guests the opportunity to view grazing wildlife outside their rooms and public areas in the resort within proximity of the animals, conveying the feeling of being in an African savanna.
The adventures don’t stop there, we will also be visiting Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom and participating in different events including the “Symphony in the Stars: A Galactic Spectacular” fireworks show!
