A Musical Giveaway Dolly Parton, Friday Night Lights and Human Nature

June 3, 2010 by Momstart 99 Comments

I love music, all kinds of music. I’m really not very picky, my only dislike might be a little heavy metal. I have recently received some different types of music and I want to share it all with everyone else.

Dolly Parton Letter to Heaven: Songs of Faith & Inspirationclip_image001

Dolly Parton’s 17 classic gospel recordings are moving and classic. You can really hear her heart in each song. These Christian songs are a little bit of country and a whole lot of soul. With 17 tracks you feel that you are getting a lot of music for such a great price. The entire CD can be purchased on Amazon for 10.99.

I think my favorite song would be Letter to Heaven.

Friday Night Lights Vol. 2 (Original Television Soundtrack)Friday Night Lights Vol. 2: Original Television Soundtrack Vol 2.

Picking a favorite on this CD is a little bit more difficult for me. Each of these songs are up beat and hip and modern. Featuring artists like White Rabbits, Heartless Bastards, Jakob Dylan. Re-live the show through the soundtrack. It seems like forever since I watched this show last. This was one of the shows I recorded before we turned off our cable. One reason I related to this show so much was because I remember every Friday night. I was extremely involved in marching band and had to go to every football game. Love live Friday Night Football!

clip_image002Human Nature: Reach Out

I may not be picky about music but I do have favorites and Motown music is one of my favorites. It’s soul moving and makes me want to sway and this boy band from Australia is great. I really love music! These songs are all remakes but they are still fun to listen to and there are 15 total tracks with one bonus track.

Australia’s most popular & successful vocal group, Human Nature release their first album – Reach Out in the U.S. on September 1st.  Reach Out is being released exclusively via Barnes & Noble physically and will be available widely digitally.  The album will be released to all retailers physically on March 2, 2010. It is now available at Amazon.
