In my house I’m a Bounty girl. P&G’s Bounty Brand of paper towels are my favorite, I use them on all kids of spills, cleanups, grease absorption when cooking bacon, and the occasional squishing of a bug. And I buy them in bulk at Costco. You can’t have too many, that’s what I say. I keep them upstairs, downstairs, in my garage and in my car. I have tried different brands and they just don’t stand up. As a brand ambassador for P&G’s blogger brigade I am compensated and they sent me a new member to the Bounty family to check out, the Bounty DuraTowel. My first thought was what’s different about it?
On the left I have two different versions of the current Bounty paper towel that I use and on the right is the unopened package of the Bounty DuraTowel. I opened up and pulled out a sheet to compare sheet to sheet. When I pulled it out I noticed right away how soft it was and then later how strong it was underwater.
- It has a unique structure that provides outstanding performance when wet
- It feels and cleans like a cloth with a new cloth-like embossed design
- A fresh sheet is cloth-like and strong enough to tackle tough jobs like cleaning countertops, sinks and small appliances.
- It leaves surfaces 3x cleaner than a germy dishcloth that could redeposit germs on surfaces you come in contact with throughout the day.
In the next three photos you can see a difference in the quilted patterns of the two paper towels
Why did they make these changes?
Using a dish cloth can leave germs behind. Bacteria grows in water and will grow in your dishcloth throughout the day or days depending on how long you use your washcloth, meaning you’re not really cleaning the counters your spreading germs all over your counters. After just one day’s use, dishcloths can harbor and redeposit millions of germs on the surfaces you and your family come in contact with throughout the day. Because it’s designed with more fibers that hold together even when wet, it feels and cleans like a cloth allowing you to tackle your toughest projects. I used them wet, dry, and even on hard surfaces like the tile fireplace you can see in the photos. The Bounty Duratowel is one tough paper towel.
