On my last visit to Disney Channel I got to experience what it feels like to be Stuck In The Middle.
About Stuck in the Middle:
Stuck in the Middle is an American single-camera sitcom developed for Disney Channel, written and executive produced by Linda Videtti Figueiredo. The series stars Jenna Ortega, Ronni Hawk, Isaak Presley, Ariana Greenblatt, Kayla Maisonet, Nicolas Bechtel, Malachi Barton, Cerina Vincent, and Joe Nieves. Set in Massachusetts, in the fictional town of Marshport, the series tells the story of the Diaz family, specifically focusing on Harley, the middle of the seven children. Harley makes her way using her creativity to deal with living in a large family.
Stuck in the Middle airs on the Disney Channel as a short-form series and debuts on the Disney Channel App, 11/24 and on-air 12/16. Which is tomorrow people, tomorrow on the app while everyone is sitting around full to the brim from eating you can watch Stuck In The Middle on the app. That’s pretty cool!
I was able to preview the first episode of season two and it’s pretty funny. After watching the episode we got to sit down with this adorable cast who is much like a family on screen and off. They were adorable to listen to from the youngest to the oldest. The excitement was alive in all of them as the kids were excited to have a job they love and the adults had pride in the kids. Let’s go over a few of the highlights.
Jenny Ortega is from a large family in real life just like her character.
I’m from a large family. I’m one of six kids but if you add one of my nephews there’s seven. But my sister just had another nephew so now there’s eight of us. And they’re always over at the house because we babysit them so there’s eight kids in my family I guess you could say. So it’s pretty big.
She loves being “Stuck In The Middle”
I love being stuck in the middle. I like Harley’s storyline because at first she’s kind uncertain of like where she’s going with her life. She feels very invisible but later on she realizes that she is very important. She plays a very important role in her family. I think it’s important to know that for those middle children out there who feel like they’re not noticed that they are. And they are very important in the families because they make their families their families.
They love to prank each other on set including Jenny.
Oh. It was April Fools’ Day and we were filming onset. And I kept telling everyone, hey guys I have the biggest prank. I’m going to get all of you guys. You guys don’t even know.
Cerina Vincent always wanted seven kids.
I always wanted seven kids. And it just like was a weird childhood thing like you know fantasy sequence in…….like all of us……. And I have them all but in a different form. It’s really cool. We’re bonded.
What Jenny thinks of the show….
I think our storyline is very sweet. And like the main, what we’re trying to get across to families is you should celebrate being a part of a big family. Like it’s not such a bad thing as people make it out. And to affect people like all around the nation is amazing
They are all super excited about season two. They love working together and they have amazing chemistry on and off screen. They were kind enough to spend time with us after the interview doing little videos and taking as many photos as we asked for.
