Lentsanity App – This apps includes: a social media feed with daily reflections, articles about Lent, a Meat Police feature that sends you reminders to not eat meat on Fridays and a Daily Dose feature about topics relevant to the Lenten season, such as reclaiming friendships, gratitude, sacrifices, prayer, faith in the action, and the like. Each of the Daily Dose topics then provides tips to help you accomplish the topic.
Lecto Divina App – For many who observe Lent, the daily reading of scriptures is a part of the Lenten experience. This app has a topic for each week of Lent and Holy Week with accompanying scriptures. It also includes reflections and an overview of Lent.
Count Your Blessings App – If you one of the many people who’s tried to give up something for Lent and failed, this app provides another way you can make Lent count. by changing lives and helping to end hunger. Each day during Lent, you receive a short fact or story, a photograph and the opportunity to change lives by giving or praying to help end poverty in the world.
CRS Rice Bowl App – This app from Catholic Relief Services (CRS) provides you with a virtual rice bowl to collect the dollar value of your Lenten sacrifices. The app includes an integrated social media feed, daily reflections, read stories of hope, videos about Lent, and meatless recipes for Fridays during Lent. Twenty-five percent of the Lenten alms collected through the CRS Rice Bowl project are directed programs that fight poverty in the U.S. and 75% support CSR’s humanitarian and emergency relief programs in in 93 countries overseas.
Stations of Cross App – This simple app contains the introductory prayers, the prayers for the 14 stations of the Cross and the final concluding prayer commenorating the death of Jesus. The app is designed to be used while participating in a Stations of the Cross devotional.
