Whiplash Scooter Review and Giveaway

Whiplash is an awesome scooter with a twist. I received one to review and all of the photos of me are embarrassing. I’ve been trying to work on riding it without the kids laughing at me. It is a whole lot of fun but I’m getting old. My balance isn’t as good as it used to be but it is encouraging to the kids to see their mommy playing and having fun. We’ve been spending more time outside since I’ve been working on this review. I would let them ride it but they are under 5.

Product Description:

Whiplash BoardThe folding handle provides for easy travel and storage. Whiplash™ has a traditional 97 mm front wheel while the rear caster wheel that zips along on ABEC 7 bearings.

  • Rear caster wheel with ABEC 7 bearings
  • Extra long handle that folds for easy travel & storage
  • Wave Torsion Self propelling technology
  • Extra wide skate inspired flexing deck
  • Reinforced & lightweight design

Assembly was quite easy. The handlebars are adjustable and they just snap in. To adjust them, you just push the knobs in and then slide it up to the next set of knob wholes and then it’s longer.

The handles on the handlebars can fold down, just by pushing the knobs in and poping them out. This makes for easy storage.

The skateboard part of the scooter easily screws onto the handle piece and all pieces are included. You don’t even need a screwdriver. When I didn’t have children crawling all over me the assembly took less than five minutes. Trying to do it with kids all over me, was next to impossible.

So using it like a scooter is hard, it’s much easier to put both feet on it and move your weight back and fourth, but like I said, I’m getting old and my balance has been a little tricky. I mean, I sometimes miss a stair taking the stairs every day.

Scooter With A Twist – Whiplash by Street Surfing #giveaway

image002 Have the style of Street Surfing with the handle of a scooter. I feel much safer with this scooter over the skateboard but my children are only 2 and 3. So their products reach out to different age groups.

Street Surfing sent me a skateboard about five months ago. i used my blog to give it away and it is being enjoyed.

The winner of the giveaway sent me some photos of her husband playing with it. Hopefully she doesn’t mind them being posted here.

I mean the picture to the left is just asking to be posted right?

The Original Wave Startup Set

I hate doing cookie cutter posts but today I have to. I have no idea, well, I have some idea because I have seen the wave; but I really don’t have experience with the Whiplash and I don’t want to infer that I do. I can tell you, I’m sure you’ll have fun and you should take safety precautions and wear a helmet.

But here is a Product Description of Whiplash.

Whiplash

Talk about turning heads. Street Surfing is introducing Whiplash™, The Scooter with a twist. This self-propelling, revolutionary new ride is part scooter, part Wave® (caster board) and totally  fun. Centered around the award-winning design of The Wave’s® unique caster design and Torsion technology, Whiplash’s™ flexing deck and handlebar fuse together to provide riders with a cool, side to side, whip-like ride. The patent-pending Whiplash™ provides enough momentum to self-propel – so much so – riders’ feet never need to touch the ground.

Whiplash’s™ extra wide skate inspired deck, available in black with red grip tape, is made of a webbed design carbon reinforced composite material that is supported by an extra long lightweight handlebar. The folding handle provides for easy travel and storage. Whiplash™ has a traditional 97 mm front wheel while the rear caster wheel that zips along on ABEC 7 bearings.

* Rear caster wheel with ABEC 7 bearings
