Happy Thanksgiving! What Are You Thankful For?

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful for what you have in your life? I am thankful for so much in my life. We are very fortunate, we have a house over our heads, a very nice and friendly neighborhood. I have friends that are there for me at any hour day or night. So I’m very very thankful! Here are a few extra special mentions!

What are you Thankful For?

Thank You for the Toothpaste

Dear Walmart and P&G,

Thank you for inviting me out to go behind the scenes of your upcoming new movie made just for family night. I had a great time with all of my old and  new blogging friends, and made a ton of connections. Not to mention, I learned a lot about what it takes to make a movie, that actors are people too, and that everyone there wants at least one night that we can all sit together and watch TV and not worry about having to flip the channel with little ears in the room. I would actually love it if I could turn on my cable again!

As this is not my final post or thoughts on the matter, I mostly wanted to take the time to thank you for stuffing toothpaste and a toothbrush in the swag bag. I’m sure that every other blogger and person on set thanks you too, because I left mine at home.

Oh Thank You Sun

image The sun is  out this week and I feel like a different person. I’m loving the vitamin D and getting in extra time with the kids and less time on the blog. I have a feeling this summer is going to be the same all summer long.

I’ve been quite depressed over the last couple of weeks. We didn’t see the sun much and we stayed in the house a lot. I was sick for almost the entire month of April and I had so much promoting to do on my blog with success but I think part of the reason was because I was inside so much. So, I’ve decided to go outside this month and let my blog go as it may.

Yes I’ll still be doing reviews and hosting giveaways, but I’m going to be even more erratic than I was before. I need more play time with my kids before Zoe goes to pre-school. So we’re going to enjoy the Sunshine. Today we have plans to head off to the beach, if we can make the hike. I hear that the park we are going to is a bit far from the beach itself but you can make it. I’m trying to decide if I need to take the stroller or not. I think I’m going to go without it today.

So my thanks for this week goes to God and His beautiful Sun. Without it I would be in a very dark place.

Thankful for Bloggers

I’m quite thankful for the world of blogging, for days like today when I just don’t feel like being social or leaving the house. I will be taking the kids out to the gym today to see their new best friend, one of our neighbors. They just love her. Then we’re getting haircuts, the rest of the evening I’ll be going around the blog sharing my thankfulness of all of you.

Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the

majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours.

Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all.

NIV 1 CH 29:11

I’m quite thankful right now for the move that God provided us with last September. We have a wonderful neighborhood and awesome neighbors. We live close to grocery stores and can have pizza delivered to our door. I’m a huge fan of Pizza, I spent six years working for one pizza company or another. My children are absolutely the biggest blessing in the world.

I wanted to spend a little time thanking some blogging friends who have made great things possible by teaching me something or helping me with an opportunity or two.

bloggerfriends

This is Christine, From Dates To Diapers or @YoungMommy, Lori A Cowboys Wife, My Wooden Spoon or @Acowboyswife, and of course Stacy From Mom Central or @momcentral. I met the three of these powerful women last July at the Sears/Kmart Home Design Summit for Bloggers. Christine is quite a voice on twitter (not to mention her blog and everywhere else she writes) and often retweets my tweets and I can’t thank her enough for her help. Lori, has been answering questions since I began blogging in 2008. She is one of the sweetest Texas Mommies you will ever meet. Stacy and her company allowed me to be a Frigidaire Test Drive Mom this year and it was so much fun and a privilege. She often has other campaigns that she shares with mommy bloggers, but if you ever get the chance to listen to her, DO IT. One, she’s a crack up, Two, in between all of the jokes and laughter she pours out great advice. All three of these women do. I’m grateful for Sears for allowing me the opportunity to meet these girls. It is through encouragement from women like these that I stay out of depression. I find myself constantly struggling with depression, even today I feel like it’s a little worse than normal. So I find myself writing my way through it and remembering a happy time.

My thankfulness isn’t complete every week unless I also mention how thankful I am for my children, even when they are screaming at each other. This week we have been blessed with good health. Thank you God for everything you do in my life.

I’m Thankful For

It’s Thursday and I like to take this time out of the week to write about what I’m thankful for. Today I have some special thanks:

God has made everything I do possible. So He’s the first. Thank You for all things big and small!

Next, I’m thankful for coffee:

I’m thankful that the local library is in the King County Library System. We have a great system where any book you check out can be returned to any library in the County and my address is actually in a different county but the library in the city I live in is still considered to be part of the system. You have no idea how nice this is.

I’m thankful to Social Spark because I might actually make enough to pay for my plane tickets to BlogHer this month. SocialSpark You Rock! One more post to write tonight and I make my goal.

I’m thankful for great days with the kids. Nap time and the sun.

I’m thankful my neighbors are forgiving about all the weeds in my yard. I tried to do some weeding and then I got really sick. I’m allergic to grass.

I love my two little helpers:

Thankful Thursday

It’s that time of week again, the time where I show my thankfulness.

What am I thankful for this week?

I am thankful for my husband who has been driving himself to work for the past two days so that I can get 20 extra minutes of sleep. Being sick is the pits. He’s been making sure I take my medicine though, and getting me tea and cough drops and ice cream to soothe my throat.

I’m thankful for my friends.

I’m thankful for MOMS club and my support group that they are.

I’m thankful that tomorrow is Friday

This week’s blogger I’m thankful for:

I’m thankful for Lee at My Sentiment Exact Lee

ThankYou

I’m Thankful

Today I’m thankful that my family is such a strong happy family.

They are the reason I do what I do!

We are not perfect and we don’t pretend to be.

They are why, I have to choose not to care what other bloggers think of me!

They are why I do not monetize my blog any further than the ads on the side bar.

They are why I am teaching them to give to charity.

I want to bring my kids up with good hearts and to not want everything they see. Sharing is such an important part of life. I will not let anyone tell me that what I am doing is wrong. I do my blog because I want to.

My husband loves me for who I am, and I need to love me for who I am. I am thankful for him, and my kids and the smiles that are on their faces.

Thankful Thursday

I’m thankful that it is Thursday and that Friday is just around the corner, then from Friday we go into the weekend and Dad will be home to help wrangle the kids in.

I’m thankful that he is going to watch the kids so that I can go shopping. Last week at Safeway for every 50.00 you spent you would get 10.00 to spend at Kohls. I bought diapers at Safeway with coupons and then received 20.00 and I’m so excited to go shopping on my own without the kids. Thanks Honey!

I’m thankful my kids are mostly healthy. I think my son is starting to catch another cold, but maybe he can fight it off without getting an ear infection. We’ll keep an eye on that.

I’m thankful that God loves me no matter what I do and say.

I’m thankful for the sunshine that we have been having and that my kids are loving it too.

I’m thankful for air-conditioning and that our house doesn’t get too hot. I think it’s going to be a hot summer this year.

Thankful Thursday

My husband was hospitalized on Sunday night and I was terrified that he was going to be there forever. I thank God that he was released  and we have him back. I was really worried that the kids were going to get sick too but we all stayed healthy and for that I’m very grateful.

I’m thankful for all of the PR reps who have been understanding as I’m a little bit behind because of all the hospital visits this week.

I’m thankful for all of my friends who helped me out by watching the kids for me. Summer, and Ingrid, my husband is so grateful. He was so lonely, even the hospital staff that was allowed to visit him was limited. So being able to visit him really cheered him up.

I’m thankful for modern medicine!

I’m thankful for all the other friends that volunteered to help, Debbie, Marie and Jamie!

I’m thankful for IRL friends and my on-line friends.

My Thanksgiving Thanks, I am thankful for

What am I thankful for?

I am thankful for my mother and father for helping to create the woman I am today. I am thankful for my college education and my ability to love unconditionally. I am thankful for my husband and all the love he provides me. Without him I would be in a dark whole somewhere thinking that no one in the world loves me.

I am thankful to God above all other things because he has given me everything I have. He helped me to deliver two healthy babies whom I would give my life for in a heartbeat. My children are my world.

I am thankful for my extended family and that also includes my friends in my MOMS Club. They are all lined up to help me after my surgery and I could not ask for any better friends for me or my children.Picture2

I am thankful for my Blog’s success because I can use my blog to help others. I have been taking photos of donations that I’m going to be donating next week before my surgery. We can’t get into our hall closet because it is stuffed full of donations. I’m in awe with the generosity of the companies that have given us something to share. I hope that my blog’s success will continue into next year.
