Munchkin Click Lock Sippy Cups – A GUARANTEED Leak-Proof Seal

By: Ashley

The world of sippy cups can be a little overwhelming. I know that sounds a little ridiculous, but it’s true! There are so many types, styles, brands, colors, and price points, that it’s tough to know where to begin. That’s why having a brand like Munchkin is great. You can always rely on them for high quality, kid friendly, cost conscious products. Their new line of Click Lock sippy cups is no exception.

About a year ago, I reviewed Munchkin cups and my only complaint was that it was tough to know when the cups were sealed properly. I had a cup leak in my purse/diaper bag once, and it wasn’t pretty. The new Munchkin Click Lock system solves that problem! I can honestly say that “clicking” these cups closed is easy… and secure! The video put out by Munchkin not only shows how tightly these cups seal, but cracks me up at the same time.

From the website:

Munchkin’s new line of Click Lock™ Cups are just right because they just CLICK. These cups feature a simple click-and-lock lid to securely close for a leak proof seal – guaranteed. Parents will see, hear and feel the cup lock, so they have triple assurance against dribbles and drips. Munchkin is so confident these new cups are mess-free, we are backing up the promise with a 100% replacement guarantee.

Click Lock™ cups are available in an assortment of vibrant colors, fun artwork, licensed characters, and styles including sippy, trainer, straw, flip straw and Big Kid™ spout-less. Because sometimes things in life just click!DSC00722

Munchkin sippy cups have been a staple in our house for awhile now, and I’m sure our collection will keep growing. There aren’t a million pieces to keep up with, many of the lids are interchangeable, the lids and cups are all easy to clean, everything is BPA free, and best of all… THEY DON’T LEAK! After all, isn’t that the most important thing to consider when you hand a drink over to your little one? I think so!

Munchkin Mighty Grip Sippy Cups Review

Searching for “the right” sippy cup? Munchkin might have what you need!

munchkin logoDiscovering “the right” sippy cup seems to be just as hard as finding “the right” stroller. Recently I had the opportunity to test out the Munchkin Mighty Grip 10 oz. Spill Proof Cup. To be completely honest, I had my doubts. I had tried the smaller version of this cup when my little guy first started transitioning to cups and it did not go well. I decided to that it was worth another shot though… a 6 month old with a cup compared to an 11 month old with a cup are 2 very different things!

The Munchkin Mighty Grip 10 oz. Spill Proof Cup is designed with an easy grip shape, a soft silicon spout, and a built-in leak proof valve. The cups are dishwasher safer (top rack) and are one of the more affordable sippy cups on the market.

clip_image004The opportunity to test these Munchkin cups came at a pretty good time. We were planning to travel soon and I was hoping to sneak bottles out of the picture so that there would be less baby gear to pack. Since the Munchkin Mighty Grip 10 oz. Spill Proof Cup has such a soft spout, I decided it would be a good place to start. One night, this cup replaced my little guy’s nighttime bottle and I have to say, it went pretty well. 1o ounces of milk were downed pretty quickly!

clip_image006The only downside I see with this cup is that it is tricky to travel with and takes a minute to assemble. The valve/spot section of the cup comes through the ring and has to line up with specific notches on the ring. It doesn’t take a brain surgeon, but it does take a tiny bit of extra time. In addition, traveling with this cup must be done CAREFULLY. When I was running errands I just tossed the cup into my durse (diaper bag/purse) and was on my way. Well, the silicon valve/spout got pushed in by something in the bag and the entire cup leaked. If you decide this cup is right for you, just make sure you know the lid is a little sneaky and sensitive… and can be leaky if pushed.

I had originally sold my smaller Munchkin Mighty Grip Cups because I thought they were useless. Well now, these two Munchkin Mighty Grip 10 oz. Spill Proof Cups have made it through several “clean out the cabinet cuts” and seem to be pretty useful.

Get Nourish Go Happy Purified Spring Water in a BPA Free Sippy

At first, the thought of bottled water for a toddler… or even an infant… may seem a bit much. However, once you hear what’s behind this product you will be sold. I had the opportunity to try out the toddler version of Nourish and I was more than happy. It was one of those moments where we had just gotten home from running errands, there were no clean cups ready, and I had a cranky, thirsty little boy on my hands. There was Nourish to the rescue.

clip_image004Nourish offers purified spring water in easy to use, reusable bottles and sippy cups. I popped the top off to unseal the water and handed the Nourish Toddler off to my little guy. Now I have to also admit that since then, I have had several instances where I wished I would have had a Nourish ready and waiting in my bag. The seal keeps it from leaking, you don’t have to wash cups out in public bathrooms (especially airplanes!), and thinking back, I REALLY would have liked to have the Nourish Baby bottles for when my little guy was still on formula. Those bottles are set up for you to just add your formula, shake it up, and serve.

Nourish was created by a mom who had a problem… and boy did she find a way to solve it! I love finding handy products, but I love it even more when it supports a fellow mommy. You can even find the background story on their site! Nourish can be a little tough to find, but it IS available for purchase and can even be found in some airports! That is definitely something that can come in handy! Check this link to find out how to get your own bottle (Well, not a bottle “for YOU”…. But you know what I mean!).You can even order it by the case! Where To Find Nourish? They’re also on Facebook and Twitter if you’re interested.

Thermos makes great products that you can trust. One of the moms I know had one of these cups. She was unhappy with it because it became moldy even though it says that it won’t. So she called them up and complained and they replaced it with no trouble. This is a company that stands behind their product.

My Description:

foogo Luckily the mom I know has the final stage in the Foogo Phases so I have seen them all. The first one is for 6+ months. The spout is soft and encourages learning to drink. The handles on the side make the cup easier to hold for hands that are still learning how to drink. It is easy on baby’s gums.

The second sippy cup is for 12 months plus. The tip isn’t as soft but it is still rubberish. It is stronger for babies that have teeth. As the baby grows so does their thirst so it is also larger in capacity.

The final size is the one that my friend had and had replaced. She still likes it enough because they use it all the time. It doesn’t leak and it has a straw. It is for 18 plus months and is hygienic. The straw is easy to sip from and opens at the touch of a nifty easy to push button.

The key feature of my family is that even though it is stainless steel it is still dishwasher safe. You have got to love that.
