Santa Photos at Northgate Mall

While I was out of town my family went to Northgate Mall in North Seattle to get Santa photos taken. My husband had to get a sweater for my son and he purchased it at Gymboree who was having a 50% off sale. He’s adorable. My daughter’s dress is from JCPenney.

They went on a Saturday to get the photos with Santa and it was surprisingly only a 30 minute wait, which on a Saturday I think is amazing. My son was so hyped up about getting to see Santa. He had been asking me for a week to take him and any time we were near a Santa he wanted to go see him. Saturday was the first time we actually had time to take him, and guess what he did. He freaked out and was quite upset about having to sit next to Santa.

It’s a classic photo, tears, upset, and Zoe is as happy as she can be. Daddy did have a little chat with Miles and after the chat we got a smile out of him. But he’s still leaning as far away from Santa as he could.

It’s great that they went because the kids told Santa what they want for Christmas. Zoe wants a doll house and Miles wants candy. I have to say he’s not getting candy but she is getting a doll house. I’m sure Miles will love what he’s getting he just doesn’t realize he wants it. Compared to another mall Northgate Mall has a great price on photo packages.

Thank you Northgate Mall for this experience taking photos with Santa. Northgate mall covered the cost of the photos as part of the Northgate Mall ambassador program.

Getting Red Carpet Ready at Northgate Simon Mall

Yesterday, I should have stayed home and worked all day. I really need to get some posts scheduled for my trips this weekend and the next. But instead I spent the day getting ready for my trip to New York. I’m walking the red carpet again, this time with DreamWorks and the movie War Horse. So instead of buying a dress, I bought a coat, but I found such a good deal, that I ended up getting a dress and a coat. So where did I spend my day, I spent the day walking the halls of Northgate Mall. I had a snack, my hair done and found some fabulous clothing.

If you keep up with me on Facebook, I posted both of these coats and asked you guys for some help in picking out a coat. The one vote I had was for the red one and I didn’t see that vote until after I purchased the black one.

I bought a new coat because my current coat is not a dress coat. I really thought having a nice dress coat would be better, plus ever since I saw my sister had a nice black dress coat I wanted one too. While I was there and enjoying my kid less time I looked at dress too. WP_000322WP_000325

I think the only reason I ended up getting a dress was because I got the coat for $37.00. Amazing I know, you would think that all the sales would be over, but just because black Friday came and went doesn’t mean you won’t find a good deal. You’ll find fantastic deals at Northgate Mall in Seattle.

I got my hair cut at Regis and you know I bought a coffee and the best part was I just enjoyed my experience today in the mall without kids.

This is not a compensated post but I am a Northgate Mall Ambassador.

Northgate Mall Kidgets Holiday Event Schedule.

Last  Saturday was a very busy weekend for us. I went to the doctor right after breakfast, then we ran to The Muppet movie screening and then came home for a five minute nap, literally, then rushed the kids off to a birthday party and had an hour to take a shower and figure out dinner before picking up the kids and I was done. So we missed a really special event at Northgate mall this weekend. Santa ARRIVED!

Halloween Shopping Ideas at Northgate Mall & Our Shopping Haul

This last weekend we spent our time shopping and having a great family day at Northgate Mall, one of the many Simon malls around the US. When we arrived there was a fire truck parked outside and that made the kids’ day right there. The firemen were just going in for some coffee but when they came out and saw the kids, they gave them official Fireman badges (you know stickers). Oh the kids were enamored.

Then we set out to do our shopping. But first, I had to go get a coffee so we all had a special treat at Starbucks just inside the food court. From Pumpkin Lattes, Apple Ciders, to Chi Tea Latte’s there are many options for all ages.

image

Halloween was all over the mall, and one of my favorites was of course the chocolaty options: See’s Candies had plenty of trick or treat options inside their store. And the best thing about See’s Candies is that you can go in for a free samples. YUM!

image

Taking in the seasons is a full sensory trip for us. We had to taste the flavors, smell the flavors and feel the flavors. So check one for the coffee. Check two took us into Bath and Body works where we had to smell and try everything. We ended up buying a trick or treat bag for 10.00. These bags have a large assortment of products in them, making it quite a bang for your buck.

image

We found costumes for the kids. Miles is going to be a dragon, and Zoe is going to be a bumblebee. The dragon costume we found at Gymboree, and the bumble bee we found at Crazy 8, later we found out both stores are owned by the same parent company. I love Crazy 8 because it looks just like Gymboree but at a priced comparable to The Children’s Place.

We spent so much time at Northgate mall on Saturday that we had to get lunch at Red Robin.

image

Northgate Mall has quite a few options for lunch with the food court and restaurant chains inside the mall. After we finished our lunch we went to the Toys R Us, that is a part of Northgate Mall and participated in the Cars 2 Lego Event in honor of Cars 2 coming out on DVD and Blu-ray 3D November 1, 2011.

This is of course our Northgate Mall Shopping Haul video you have to check it out.

National Moms Night Out May 5th in Washington at Simon Mall

National Moms Night out is May 5th and I know of quite a few events going on in our area. My local MOMS Group will be taking the night out on the town celebrating with a movie that also happens to be the book of the month for our book club,"Water for Elephants".

national moms

Also going on in Washington on May 5th will be two great events at Simon Mall. Tacoma and Seattle will be celebrating National Moms Night Out at the same time. Seattle moms are invited to let their hair down at the 3rd Annual National Mom’s Nite Out on Thursday, May 5 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Northgate. This free event, sponsored by WARM 106.9, is a guilt-free excuse for moms to take the night off to relax and enjoy a celebration of motherhood.

Moms will join together for a well-deserved break to socialize and relax at this event. At Northgate Mall, moms will enjoy pizza samples from California Pizza Kitchen, mini chair massages, and complimentary bang trims and brow arching from Gene Juarez Salon and Spa. Macy’s will also host an “in-store” fashion show featuring the hottest trends of spring and summer.

Then down south at Tacoma Mall, moms will enjoy special event deals from favorite retailers such as Coach, Coldwater Creek, Forever 21 and The Walking Company. MommyPR will reveal budget friendly stay-cations for your family to enjoy this summer and Thecouponproject will teach ways to save money by using coupons. These bloggers are great on-line I’m excited to see what they bring in person. If only Tacoma wasn’t so far away. I am excited to see Sarah Bonds again, but she’ll probably be in Tacoma.

“Mom’s Nite Out is the perfect event to thank and celebrate mothers for all that they do,” said Sarah Bonds, director of marketing at Northgate Mall and Tacoma Mall. “We absolutely believe that moms deserve some pampering and we are delighted to play a part in facilitating this special evening.”

Simon Property Group is hosting National Mom’s Nite Out at 115 of its malls across the country. All activities are free and open to moms of all ages.

It’s going to be a fun night for Moms everywhere.
