Rio Movie Night with h20 Giveaway

Beat the summer heat with family movie night! h2O®, the natural spring water in a revolutionary paper bottle recently partnered with Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment for the Blu-ray and DVD release of Rio.

h2O is a great way to offer today’s environmentally-conscious bottled water addicted drinker to still have that bottled water in a way that won’t fill up a landfill. h20 minimizes the consumer’s impact on the environment while at the same time provides a safe drinking experience with no danger of chemicals leaching into the water. They are mainly made of paper, a renewable resource and are completely recyclable.

Blu is quite spectacular himself. He is a domesticated Macaw who never learned to fly, living a comfortable life with his owner and best friend Linda in the small town of Moose Lake, Minnesota. Blu and Linda think he’s the last of his kind, but when they learn about another Macaw who lives in Rio de Janeiro, they head to the faraway and exotic land to find Jewel, Blu’s female counterpart. Which is when all the adventure begins, not long after they arrive, Blu and Jewel are kidnapped by a group of bungling animal smugglers.  With the help of street smart Jewel, and a group of wise-cracking and smooth-talking city birds, Blu escapes. Now, with his new friends by his side, Blu will have to find the courage to learn to fly, thwart the kidnappers who are hot on their trail, and return to Linda, the best friend a bird ever had. We all loved watching Rio.

Ice Age was a huge hit in our house, the makers of Ice Age created a new colorful animal movie that hits theaters April 15th, RIO. Rio is a comedy adventure about living on the wild side. For Blu, a domesticated Macaw who never learned how to fly, living on the wild side is well wild. Blu is living a comfortable life with his owner and best friend Linda in a small town called Moose Lake, Minnesota. Well, Blu and Linda think Blu is the last of his breed, but they soon learn about another Macaw who lives in Rio de Janeiro. So they head to the faraway and exotic land to find another Macaw named Jewel, Blu’s female counterpart. Not long after they arrive, Blu and Jewel are kidnapped by a group of bungling animal smugglers.  With the help of street smart Jewel, and a group of wise-cracking and smooth-talking city birds, Blu escapes.  Now, with his new friends by his side, Blu will have to find the courage to learn to fly, thwart the kidnappers who are hot on their trail, and return to Linda, the best friend a bird ever had.

About the soundtrack

An all-star musical cast led by multi-platinum artist will.i.am of The Black Eyed Peas, Jamie Foxx, Bebel Gilberto, Taio Cruz, Ester Dean, Siedah Garrett, Jemaine Clement (of Flight of the Conchords), and Brazilian sensation Carlinhos Brown, along with film composer John Powell join together under the guidance of Brazilian music legend and executive music producer, Sergio Mendes, for the original motion picture soundtrack of RIO, opening April 15th.  The soundtrack album will arrive in stores April 5th on Fox Music/Interscope Records.

Rio Feel The Rhythm with Jamie Foxx and Will.i.am

Rio is a cute movie coming out April 15th at a theater near you. Created by the creators of Ice Age, it’s an animal movie appealing to my kids as they have seen a preview of the movie and were excited by it. Watch this behind the scenes of Rio, Feel the Rhythm as Jamie Foxx mentions how excited he is to work with Will.I.Am as they create the music and rhythm behind Rio! Check it out:

Rio Super Bowl Commercial With Secret Code Tune In

RionoTypeI saw a preview for Rio when I took my kids to see Tangled last weekend. Rio looks like a cute movie about animals and my kids loving watching talking animal movies. Today, Super Bowl fans in the United States watching RIO’s new commercial spot are invited to find the frame with the embedded code that will in turn direct them to a special level on ANGRY BIRDS, Rovio’s blockbuster game, which recently entered into a first-of-its kind partnership with RIO.  That level will take you to a RIO sweepstakes.

AngryBird_Rio_Feature2The sweepstakes winner will attend RIO’s world premiere in Rio de Janeiro on March 22.  That same day, Fox and Rovio launch the highly anticipated “Angry Birds Rio” app.

The spot will be available across the web, including youtube.com/rio, after the Super Bowl.
