Photography: A Drive Through St Charles #SuzukiMomFest

As I was test driving the Suzuki Kizashi and other Suzuki vehicles they brought to our Junk in the trunk scavenger hunt, I saw just how beautiful St Charles is. It’s Fall there and the leaves are changing colors and the sun was out. Here in the Pacific Northwest we have green all year round and clouds and rain in the fall. The sun just happens to be out today, but our photos don’t look like this.

St Charles

As I’m still putting together my thoughts on the event itself, which I LOVED, I wanted to share my photography. These shots were taken just from the hotel we stayed at.

The Suzuki family includes the Equator Crew Cab, the Equator Extended Cab, the Grand Vitara, the Kizashi (which means Something’s Coming, I LOVE THAT) Sport, the SX4 AWD Crossover, and the Sx4 Sport Sedan. All Suzuki vehicles have AWD capabilities and are backed by America’s #1 Warranty- up to 100,000 miles with a 7-year Powertrain Limited Warranty. This warranty can be transferred to the next buyer and the next providing excellent resale value. Stay tuned there may be even more to come for now you can see more thoughts on Suzuki’s Kizashi..

Suzuki provided all of my transportation and fees while being away from my family.

Photography: A Walk Through Universal City Walk

Since I’m still trying to motivate myself to write reviews and get caught up, I thought I’d do a personal post. When I was on the Real Steel Press Junket I did a walk through of Universal City Walk. Andrew and I did this walk quite a few years ago, and I’m not exactly sure where all of those photos are but it sure does look different to me.

All of these photos were taken on a trip with DreamWorks when I did the Real Steel Press Junket. The Real Steel Red Carpet event took place on the Universal City Walk. It looked like a fantastic event. If you haven’t seen real Steel yet, it’s now in theaters and was number one in the box office last weekend. GO SEE IT!

Hotels.com: What is Your Dream Vacation?

Now that it’s October and it’s rainy season in Washington all I can dream about is my beach vacation. I love the sun, I live for the sun, my entire being relies on the sun. My personality changes whenever the sun comes out, I’m happy and my heart is warm. So I adore going to the sun as often as I can.

KONICA MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERA

If you asked me where my dream vacation would be it would be Hawaii. We live in an area where people can actually afford to go on vacation often, and my husband and I we can’t afford to go as often, but all around me people are making plans to go to Hawaii. I want to go to Hawaii.

hawaii 5

I hear it’s amazing, the temperature is moderate and the sun is out. I think it rains there too, but it’s not a constant overcast. The best part is the huge beach and beautiful ocean. The sounds of the waves relaxes me more than any other sound. Swimming is my favorite way to exercise and riding the waves in the ocean thrills me to no end. So, if money and time weren’t a restriction then this is what we would do.

hawaii 3

I would go to Hotels.com. and check out the best way to find hotels, cars and flights because I’ve never been there before and I need some idea of where to stay and what a fair price would be. I love how reviews and package deals are included as search options.

Hawaii 4

Then I would have to figure out what I would do. I could spend every day at the beach drinking Long Island Tea, and watching the waves, but if we go all the way to Hawaii we’re going to have to do a few of the tourist traps. I would love to visit Pearl Harbor even though it would make me quite sad.  I’d also love to see a volcano up close in the National Park. I know we have volcano’s here but they are sleeping. It would be fun to see one active in Hawaii.

Hawaii 2

I’d also love to go snorkeling or scuba diving and would greatly enjoy taking in all the Hawaiian culture. Plus it would be so much fun to swim with the dolphins and collect sea shells with the kids. Yes, my dream vacation does include my husband and kids. Oh there is so much that I would love to do in Hawaii that I would need a vacation to rest after my dream Hawaiian vacation.

So what’s your dream vacation? Go over to Hotels.com Facebook Page to weigh in.

Ten Amazing Photos

I love taking photos and editing photos is even more fun, even though I don’t have that much time for either. I wish that Adobe could make more time in the day as easily as it makes photos and images look fantastic.

Train

With so many different photo editing programs out there, which one is the best one for the job. You know, I think it depends on what you want to do with your photos. Did you take a picture of your family out in the sun and it’s all washed out?

red leaves

Or maybe you tried to take a picture at night and you didn’t quite get enough light in the photo.

clouds

What about taking photos of the sky. Sometimes you get lucky and the sky looks perfect as it is, and other times the photo would benefit so much with a little bump up in the colors.

sky

A really good digital picture editor can make your life so much easier.

wolves

I use a few different programs right now. I use Adobe Photoshop to liven up some of my recipes and I also use Windows Live Writer to make a few of my photos shine. Then for web development, my husband has been using Adobe Photoshop to cut the people out of the photos and we’re using Microsoft elements for some of the design work.

All of the photos in this post were found at morgueFile. I have no idea how or if they were edited but I know that to me each one has an interesting perspective.

From Museum of Flight To Lego Delight

Yesterday daddy took Miles out for a day along with daddy. Miles got to pick what he wanted to do and his first choice was to go to the donut shop. Then they went to the Museum of Flight in Seattle. The Museum of flight is perfect for little kids. There are so many different fun activities for all of them to enjoy. Turns out, they didn’t even do all of it in one day so we have to go back.

mof1

Miles loves airplanes. Every time he sees one in the sky he gets excited. We see planes daily in the sky above our house so I hear his excitement every day. I also hear it when they take me to the airport for a blogging trip. There was a time, and I still wonder if he knows now, when he thought I worked at the airport. It seems hard for him to understand that I went somewhere other than the airport every time they dropped me off.

mof2

Point is He LOVES planes!

mof4

When asked which ones were his favorite, it was really hard for him to decide. But I’m pretty sure he’s in love with The Blue Angels. The middle photo of the next three is a retired blue angel plane.

mof5mof6mof7

He loved his experience so much that when he came home he reenacted his experience with LEGOS. He had to build some airplanes (mommy and daddy helped) and then after they were all built he had to put them in a museum. It was just ADORABLE. So here is Milesman’s Lego Museum of Flight.

Flowers of San Diego Wordless Wednesday Photography

One thing I always love about going to California is that flowers grow like weeds. So while I was in San Diego I took lots of photos of flowers.

Day Out With Thomas The Train In Snoqualmie WA

Day Out With Thomas the Train tours across America during the summer time making little one’s like mine smile and stare in awe as Thomas the Train takes the track

image

Snoqualmie Washington is home to the Northwest Railway Museum. We’ve been there a few times for the toddler train that they do during the summer time, this was our first time to go there to see Thomas. Miles was super excited. Even sitting in the train you could see his satisfaction knowing he was riding a train pulled by Thomas.

image

The view from the train was the Snoqualmie Falls from the back. Andrew and I have been to the falls a few times, doing the hike all the way down to the bottom of the falls and back up to the top is quite a jaunt. See it from the train is much more relaxing.

imageimage

The train ride lasts about 25 minutes, we ride in one direction stop and then return in the opposite direction back to the train station. Your day out with Thomas also includes kids music from different performers, tattoos, picture opportunities with Thomas and with Sir Toppan Hat, and the kids were all afraid of him. There were four stations for the kids to visit and after visiting all four stations they received small prize. Both Miles and Zoe were quite excited to accomplish vising all four stations.

Other Train Cars at the Northwest Railway Museum:

The Northwest Railway Museum was founded in 1957 as the Puget Sound Railway Historical Association. In September 1999 the name was formally changed to The Northwest Railway Museum. It is the largest and most comprehensive railway museum in Washington State. The Northwest Railway Museum is a non-profit corporation.

Walk Through a Cars 2 Car Show With Me

After watching Cars 2 at the El Capitan you have the opportunity to go into the “after party” scene, Cars 2 World Grand Prix. There is over 3 1/2 hours of fun inside the Cars 2 World Grand Prix. It’s like stepping into a carnival made for cars. One of my favorite parts was the Car Show.

imageimageimageimage

All the above photos were taken by me. When you’re at the Cars 2 World Grand Prix you have the opportunity to have your photo taken with the stars of the movie while you’re there. I love looking at cars so much, I wanted to include more cars that inspired the movie Cars 2. These photos are used on behalf of Disney and were taken at the annual Motorama.

Pixar Animation Studios hosted its 11th annual Motorama on June 24th on its Emeryville, Calif., grounds as its 12th full-length feature “Cars 2” raced into theaters nationwide. The four-wheeled comedy adventure’s anticipated opening aptly coincided with the much celebrated employee car show this year, which showcases the team’s love of cars, featuring a variety of special vehicles owned by employees, celebrities and auto manufacturers alike, as well as life-size, remote-controlled cars modeled after car characters from the film.  Hosted by director and car enthusiast John Lasseter and “Cars” franchise guardian Jay Ward, Motorama is what many call the “coolest day of the year” at the Northern California Studio.
