Gotta Catch Santa Claus DVD Movie Review and #giveaway

image

On October 13 Lionsgate released Gotta Catch Santa Claus, a new animated movie that will start airing on ABC Family’s 25 days of Christmas. I love Christmas and I can’t get enough of it. If you follow me on twitter then you will know that I’ve already turned on the Christmas music. I’m also aware that all the stores have their Christmas decorations out for sale. Thank goodness for people like me ‘cause I’m ready to deck the halls.

Gotta Catch Santa Claus stars William Shatner as the voice of Santa. I had to watch this and was lucky enough to receive a review copy from Lionsgate. I liked it more than my kids but they watched it with me, even when I wanted to watch it a second and third time. The humor was clean and defiantly family friendly. Not everything that is on the ABC Family’s 25 days of Christmas is always family friendly in my book but this one is.

Do you believe in Santa, boy I sure do. The spirit of giving and helping others in need. This is my favorite time of year. Well, that’s what this movie is about, at least the uncovering the truth behind Santa. Santa also runs into other unexpected trouble along the way but he knows how to handle it and gets back on schedule. Cute little animated move in my humble opinion.

Guest Post ~ LTM Movie Reviews

My youngest sister Lauren Tess Manning who goes by Tess in the family goes by LTM on the internet. She is going into college this year and is going to be majoring in writing. She’s very excited and I wanted to give her a venue to start her writing so, she’s going to be combining her other passion movies and writing a weekly post. Movie reviews.

COUPLE MOVIE OF THE WEEK

The ProposalAlthough most of you have already most likely seen The Proposal, if you haven’t you NEED to ASAP! This movie stars Sandra Bullock (Two Weeks Notice, Miss Congeniality) as the head of a publishing company. When she finds she is going to be deported back to Canada she cooks up a plan with her male assistant Ryan Reynolds (The Amityville Horror 2005*, Just Friends) to get married to get out of being sent back to Canada. This movie is definitely something a couple would enjoy it’s DEFINITELY a chick flick but it’s funny and has a great moral of doing wrong VS right and the whole thing is filled with hilarious lines and acting the whole movie is AMAZING and I think you will think so to this is also a good girls night out movie. I like it hopefully you will too!

KID MOVIE OF THE WEEK

RV

RVDepending on how old your children are and what your opinions are this may not be good for everyone; however this movie is truly CUTE! Starring Robin Williams (Wild Hogs, Jumanji) as a dad who sees his family not spending enough time together, and JoJo (Music Artist) the daughter in her teen years, the dad decides to move into an RV. As the family objects he over rules and so their adventure begins. Filled with funny acting and lines this whole movie is great and it has a good moral too it! I enjoyed it!

LTM PICK

The Painted VeilMy pick is going to be The Painted Veil for see this movie truly made an impact on me. Starring Naomi Watts (King Kong, The Ring) and Edward Norton (The Illusionist, Fight Club) this movie is set in a cholera epidemic. When Kitty’s husband finds out she has been unfaithful he decides to take a stand and follow his dreams to work as a doctor. He tells Kitty that she is to come with him or get a divorce. While this movie is a bit depressing it truly is an eye opener to how fortunate some of us truly are and as a music lover as well as a movie lover the music and score made this movie one for the books.
