1. Do you have Spring flowers (or any flowers) blooming in your yard right now? Show us!
2. Are you watching American Idol this season? What do you think about the new judges?

3. Tell us something that happened to you last week!

1) Yes I have lots of flowers coming up in the yard but I was too lazy to show you them on the video. So you really didn’t miss much if you didn’t watch the video. I do have some planters, and we’re growing some flowers from seeds but we have to wait until the weather warms up some before we transplant them outside.

2) I don’t have cable and we don’t and have never ever watched American Idol. I have watched it while visiting family but it’s not my thing.

3) It snowed last week and my husband pelted me right on the head.

Retirement, Groceries and Zoe Monday Mingle

1. How do you compile grocery list – by an inventory, or writing things as you run out?
2. At what age do you plan on retiring (or your spouse retiring)?

3. What do you plan on doing when you retire?

1) I compile a grocery list as we run out of things and as I make a meal plan. I just received the New KitchenAid Collections Recipe Book it’s amazing, so we’re going to be posting some recipes as we try things from it.

2) We’re not sure when we can retire, We’re taking a class to learn about that and how to prepare for it now.

3) I plan on enjoying the kids and whatever they are doing and hopefully traveling.

Monday Mingle Roller Coasters, Valentine’s Day and More

My answers this week:

I love roller coasters. The faster the better as long as they are made out of metal. Wooden roller coasters always give me a headache.

I’m not sure about what the nicest thing is that I’ve done.

I love my kids and family and my neighborhood. We live in the nicest neighborhood possible. Least, the rain!

What Decade Would be the Most Fun? Monday Mingle

Ahh, This morning I had a terrible time keeping my eyes open and I fell asleep on the couch. I found the kids playing nicely upstairs and decided maybe I should try to get my day started. As you can see, the first thing I decided to do was record my Monday Mingle, I didn’t even brush my hair. Go Me!

So I said that chocolate is the food I can’t live without, if you know me then you guessed it right off the bat. I love to cook and I’m not a food blogger but I do blog about food. And my recipe is one that I cook a lot.

Yes I am up for video challenges, My heroes are my two grandmothers, both are cancer survivors and have ALWAYS been there for me, and Alias is my favorite show, but is not a sitcom now that I think about it.

Romantic Vacation Spots Where Would You Go?

Have you thought about where you would love to go for a Romantic getaway? I think about it all the time and it’s the beach. I love being warm, I love the sound of the ocean, and I love the sand in my toes. I love how bright it is and the cool blue color that the ocean has, and the green it has in Destin on the Amalfi Coast.

But, today when I considered the question for Monday Mingle over at Eighty MPH Mom, I thought about what my husband would like. Because it wouldn’t be a romantic getaway without him right? We spent our Honeymoon in Victoria. It was amazing, it was beautiful, and even though it was in the Summer, there was only one really hot day. We rode a water taxi, ate excellent seafood, and visited the Butchart gardens. The Butchart Gardens are lovely. Victoria is quite a tourist place with a lot of history and the buildings further illustrate just how historic Victoria is. One of my favorite things to do was have high tea, I think we had high tea five times.

I’m a delinquent again this week. It’s Tuesday and I’ve noticed that if I do it on Tuesday hardly anyone comes by and leaves a comment. ;-( Oh well, I’m doing it anyways just to be consistent. Yes, I do know how to change a tire. I think new cars are almost impossible but yes I can do it in an emergency.

I love food, anything with cream cheese is quite yummy in my book

I currently don’t have any plans for Thanksgiving.

Monday Mingle Books Movies and Favorite Pets

1. What pet have you always wanted? Yes, include the sublime and ridiculous as well.
2. What is your most recent favorite book and why?
3. If there is one film that you think everyone should watch what is it and why?

1) I have the pet I have always wanted. She’s a chocolate lab and quite an adorable little puppy.

2) I love reading Twilight. I’m sort of addicted to the books, I read them over and over and over again. I’ve read them so many times that I have lost count on how many times I’ve read them. I recently picked up The hunger Games to give something new a try and well I read all three books in two weeks. I’m not sure I’ll read them over and over again like Twilight but I did really enjoy them.
