Robby Wash Laundry Ball Giveaway

You know those products that you think, Where have you been my whole life? Well here the one you’ve really been looking for ROBBY WASH laundry ball which will wash your clothes for 12 months with only one purchase!* If you’ve been following my review post you know I believe in one very basic principle: WORK SMARTER, NOT HARDER! So let me tell you, laundry doesn’t get easier than adding a Robby Wash laundry ball to your machine.

clip_image002

The Robby Wash laundry ball is from France and adheres to their strict European Union standards of being REACH (Registration, Evaluation and Authorization of CHemicals) and RoHS (Restriction of [the use of certain] Hazardous Substances) compliant which includes containing no chlorine and no phosphates. In fact this product is used by many needing hypoallergenic and sensitive skin detergent, including washing baby’s laundry. In each wash the ball does the thinking for you, using just the right amount of detergent to remove stains and clean your clothing without having extra soap left in your garments. An additional bonus to the environment is reusing the ball even after a year when you purchasing refill pellets (just recycle the small plastic bag containing the pellets instead of the huge thick plastic bottle of your normal detergent).

clip_image003The Robby Wash laundry ball will wash white, colors, and darks alike. Be sure you get the right ball for your needs: the pink ball is designed for color loads and water temperatures 86oF and cooler, whereas the blue ball is designed for white loads and cool to hot water temperatures. Each ball “starter kit” comes with a pretreatment stick for heavy stains as they recommend not using liquid bleach with their product; those other stain pretreatment products (stick or spray) are suitable, as is fabric softener though the Robby Wash laundry ball has softeners included in their wash ball. No extra detergent is needed, though for optimal use the ball should be full; refill ball when level of maco-molecule pellets is less than 75% full. The ball comes fully loaded with washing pellets and is packages with an additional three packages of refill pellets (and the aforementioned stain stick). VALUE! VALUE! VALUE! Where traditional detergents cost approximately $1 per load, the Robby Wash laundry ball will only cost 25¢ per load when you purchase the starter kit and 21¢ per load when purchasing refill packets thereafter. It’ll do the math for you … you’re paying ¼ the cost of your old detergent per load!!! And how long did your old detergent last you?

clip_image004

This is one of those things you’ll buy for yourself and then think of all the other people who could really use it too. Like the new mom-to-be, you know how many loads of laundry a baby can create and this gives the new mom one less thing to have to think about. Like your college student, as this will save you the money of continually buying them detergent and they’ll love you for saving them the trouble of having to carry a huge bottle of detergent to the laundry room every time they decide they need clean underwear. Robby Wash makes buying simple as it works with both front and top loading washers.

Check out the green home products company, Oransi which is the only US importer of the Robby Wash laundry ball. The Pink “Fuchsia” ball or Blue ball starter kit – ball, detergent for one year*, and stain stick – for only $32.95. Refills which come in a two year supply cost $49 for either the Pink “Fuchsia” ball and Blue ball or only the Blue ball . As an added bonus, if you order more than $75 on the Oransi site then you can get FREE SHIPPING on your Robby Wash products.

*The claim of 1 year is based on 1 wash cycle every 3 days and at a maximum load weight of 10 pounds or a second ball is required (if you own a standard size washer fitting more than 10 pounds worth of clothing inside could happen with a FULL load of jeans or if you’re in the habit of machine washing your suit of armor but otherwise it’s not going to happen). That 1 year period equates to 120 consecutive washes and up to 265 pounds of laundry.

Wisk and Oil Stains, Yes it does work!

Wisk has been putting the three most popular stains to the test.

The Three Most Popular Stain Groups:

* Carbohydrates such as milk chocolate
* Proteins such as grass
* Oils such as peanut butter

I’ve been writing about Wisk for a few months now. Two months ago Zoe and I did a Protein stain test using Wisk. Last month Zoe and I set out to find out if Wisk really could demolish Ketchup. Zoe, Miles and I have been diligent testers while trying to prove that Wisk does indeed work and every project even when I had my doubts Wisk came through and dissolved those pesky stains. Sometimes I wasn’t able to prove it in the instant camera setting that I have. Perhaps just to prove it to everyone I should have edited the video but sometimes I feel that editing the video will make it seem like something is awry. So I just taped and uploaded for all to see. Here is our latest test. The Oil Verses Stain Spectrum Technology test.

The Supplies:Wisk Oil Test Supplies

A hand towel
Compact mirror
Toiletry bag
Lip gloss
A new bottle of Wisk Stain Spectrum laundry detergent

The Test:

In the video, Zoe put on the lip gloss. Then she kissed the hand towel. I didn’t think there was actually enough on the towel to give the Wisk a true test so me being me, I just directly smeared the lip gloss on the towel. Of course, Zoe’s portion of the stain came out right away, but mine didn’t. After using the washing machine the stain came completely out. It just needed a full cycle of detergent, and water to come out and not my 1 minute of swishing around in hot water. Also, remember to visit Wisk at www.Facebook.com/Wisk and follow @Wisk on Twitter for more information.

The Troubles of that Pesky Ketchup Carbohydrate Stains and Wisk

I’ve been writing about Wisk for a few months now. Last month Zoe and I did a Protein stain test using Wisk. Today Zoe and I set out to find out if Wisk really could demolish Ketchup. I was given the assignment of cleaning a white shirt that had ketchup on it. Now, I think I was supposed to clean it right after getting ketchup on it but I wanted to make a challenge for Wisk. Can Wisk get out set in carbohydrate stains.

IMG_5455Supplies:

Ketchup

White T-shirt

Wisk

Ice Chest

Water

Set up:

I put Ketchup on a white t-shirt and let the stain sit for a few hours.

Time:IMG_5459IMG_5461

Put Wisk on the shirt IMG_5462

Here is the video of us getting the ketchup out!

Final Results:

There was still just a bit of ketchup on the shirt, it was very very faint but it would be enough to drive me crazy. This is what I think would get the stain out. Before throwing it in the washing machine, pour some Wisk on the stain directly and let it sit for at least five minutes. Then put it in the washing machine as you normally would and I have a feeling the stain would come out. I don’t usually have trouble with ketchup coming out of clothing anymore anyways. My kids are always covered in some kind of food and we get the stains out. SO just follow those instructions and I know you’ll be fine! Stain Spectrum Technology will get out stains in all of the groups.

The Three Groups:

* Carbohydrates such as milk chocolate
* Proteins such as grass
* Oils such as peanut butter

Wisk HE Protein Stain Fighting Experiment

My kids get food, grass, dirt, who knows what sometimes, on their clothing and if it doesn’t end up on top of the washer when they take it off, I forget to treat it. Things like Spaghetti sauce and blood sometimes just do not come out unless they are pre-treated. Wisk, cuts out a step. As you can see in this video, Wisk gets it all out, but feel free to pre-treat a stain you may be worried about.

IMG_4838Experiment Supplies:

Protein-Stained Swatch, Dropping Pipette, Plastic Beaker, Goggles, Lab Coat, Bottle of Wisk® Laundry Detergent

Steps:

Fill the Plastic Beaker with warm water

Lay out the Protein Stained Swatch

Pour some Wisk into the Lid

Fill up the Pipette with Wisk from the lid

Spell or draw something on the Protein Stained Swatch

Let it sit for a few a little bit

Then place the fabric in the water and swish it around.

While I was doing this experiment with my daughter she asked a lot of questions. One of them being what was the Protein symbol for. The whole point of this experiment was to illustrate the stain fighting ability of Wisk. Specifically targeting protein based stains such as grass. The piece of fabric was coated in grass and smelled awful. After we did the experiment it smelled much better. So my answer in the video is incorrect. Also, it was a piece of fabric and not paper. This was step one in finding out if the new Wisk with Stain Spectrum Technology will get out stains in all of the groups without having to pre-treat the stains.

The Three Groups:

Retro to New: Wisk Reinvented

wisk I’ve been selected to participate as a brand ambassador for Wisk. I’ve seen Wisk and briefly remember the Ring Around the Collar commercials, but I have no experience using Wisk. I’m actually really looking forward to using it and testing out their claims.

Are stains different today then they were 50 years ago. I’m not sure that they are, except that maybe we use more chemicals in everything we do than we used to. I will say though that moms are quite different. We are so much more on the go now then moms were then. With technology at the palm of our hands we just go go go and our kids go go go along with us. I think this action creates more stains because kids are eating on the go, and playing everywhere. What are your thoughts on stains over the years, verses mothers?

Wisk Then:

Wisk Now:

My kids get all kinds of stains on them and I had no idea that stains are broken into three major groups and four other groups:

* Carbohydrates such as milk chocolate
* Proteins such as grass
* Oils such as peanut butter

The other groups of stains include:

* Bio such as blood
* Bleachable such as coffee
* Particulate such as dirt
* Synthetic such as ink

I can’t wait to find out if the new Wisk with Stain Spectrum Technology will get out stains in all of the groups without having to pre-treat the stains. Wisk is available in August at major retailers nationwide, such as Walmart, Target and Kroger with a suggested retail price:  $5.99 for 50 fl oz. bottles that cleans 32 loads.

Visit Wisk on Facebook for more information and stay tuned for more of the inside scoop as I start reviewing Wisk at home.

All Oxi-Active HE Laundry Detergent Block Party

imageI love throwing parties with my friends and when a brand wants to sponsor the party it makes it even more fun. Especially when that brand remembers how to take care of the kids. Thank you for the kids activities!!!

Thanks to Mom Select, All Oxi-Active and Crayola sent me everything I needed to throw a great party. We were sent water balloons, chalk, and finger paints, along with a cupcake decorating kit. All of these products were perfectly put together for a great day outside and there was plenty to share around the neighborhood.

So I usually try to have a big get together with my MOMS Club, but this time I decided to just keep it to my neighborhood. I handed out the detergent to all of the moms and dads in the neighborhood and also gave them some of the art supplies.

Its 2-in-1 advanced cleaning formula in a single detergent falls into two rapidly growing categories: detergents with "oxi" and high-efficiency detergents. ‘all Oxi-Active’s extraordinary stain-fighting power outcleans the leading liquid Oxi detergent on tough stains like grass, and kid faves like chocolate ice-cream, chocolate pudding and grape juice – handling all of life’s messes and leaving clothes incredibly clean.

One of my neighbors looked at me after I handed her a bottle of detergent and said something like, is this that new oxi stuff. I’ve herd really great things about using the oxi laundry detergent.

I was surprised that she had heard of it. I never heard of it before this opportunity. I of course saved a bottle for myself to try. I’ve tried a few different kinds of detergent. I like the smell before and after putting my clothes in to be washed. That means my clothing comes out smelling fresh. I didn’t notice any extra fading. Some of you may read my blog regularly and know that I just reviewed method laundry detergent and I was less than pleased with it. All Oxi-Active HE I am pleased with and can see myself buying again in the future.

Method Laundry Detergent HE Review

I just received some Method Laundry Detergent to try for free. They claim to be Smarter, Easier, and Greener.

The Positive:

image The container is small. With a very concentrated formula you can get 25 washes out of their smallest size, which is pretty comparable to other small sizes that aren’t so small.

It is super easy to get the right amount without making a mess at all. There is no measuring, all you do is squirt and the aim is really easy. I didn’t make a mess at all and there is no leaking.

Less waste, with a smaller bottle there is a smaller carbon footprint.

Better for the environment because of all the above. They are Smarter, Easier, and Greener.

The not so positive:

Not my favorite scent (it does come in other scents though)

My clothing faded (I find it really hard to find any brand that doesn’t cause fading though)

All Laundry Detergent Giveaway

AL-96oz-FreeClear

When I first starting clipping coupons I was able to get a bottle of All Small and Mighty for free at Safeway. I took it home and tried it out. I was amazed at how little it said to use. I thought, wow, have I been over using the detergent that I was using. Yes, I haven’t been reading the directions for a while now. What a waste. So read the label, you only need to use how much the container says. When your detergent says it’s 3x as strong you need only 1/3 of what you used to use.

I also loved the smell of the Wild and Fresh. Even the moms that came over for play group noticed the smell of my laundry basket when she was in my kitchen. She remarked on how much she loved the scent. The only reason why I didn’t keep using it was because I was trying to get laundry detergent as cheaply as possible. I went to Tide Next and then found that it wasn’t good enough. The Tide wasn’t getting my laundry stains out and my dark clothing was fading. So I went back to Cheer.

Recently I was offered an entire bottle of all® Small & Mighty® 96 Loads free and clear laundry detergent through BSM media, Mom Select. I accepted. I was quite excited actually. Free and Clear is the #1 detergent recommended by dermatologists for sensitive skin and is perfect for the entire family because it has all the stain lifting power of all but is free of dyes, perfumes, enzymes and preservatives. Stain lifter will allow you to relax and enjoy the summer because it’s unique stain lifting power will make your stains surrender. It’s supposed to last up to six months. I can’t imagine not having to buy detergent, but since I’m too afraid to use it on my jeans then I’m sure it will last that long.

I had some blood stains and I did use some stain remover in addition to the all so I can’t say the all did the magic but it’s more than Tide can do. Part of the free and clear means that there are no perfumes or dies so this doesn’t affect the smell of the laundry so much as the Wild and Fresh Scent does. However, if you have children that are extremely sensitive to perfumes then free and clear is very important. It is easy to pour without making a mess and it’s easy to cart. The handle is great for carrying. I’m really happy with it.
