Christmas in July K’nex Giveaway

We worked with K’Nex once last year. They sent us the Elmo’s Building Set to review on Mom Start. We decided it would be better suited as a donation, only because my kids get so many toys to review with me being a product review blogger. Every day the UPS truck comes my daughter asks, is that for me? So we have to donate most of what we get and most charities will not take open toys.

I have played with K’Nex and sold their products at the store I worked at before having children. They are a time honored toy, that stimulates creativity. Build the toy illustrated on the package or use your imagination and build something entirely new.

Elmo’s building set, Ice Cream Truck by K’NEX Review

Team Mom sent us an Elmo KNEX building set to review and play with. The set we received was the Ice Cream Truck Elmo Set. For ages 2-5, K’NEX has created the Sesame Street Neighborhood Collection Building Sets. These sets let children build and then play with their favorite Sesame Street friends, including Elmo, Cookie Monster and Ernie. Who’s kid doesn’t love Elmo. Mine do. They would prefer Dora but Elmo is an awesome second in her book. The set we received comes with 18 pieces and a Play and Learn activity sheet. There are four Sesame Street K’NEX sets in all. Use them to build your own Sesame street.

We love the colors and my kids love building. My son is an expert with building blocks now so I would even say that you can introduce these at 18 months. The sooner you introduce something to your children the sooner they can learn. So, just make sure there aren’t choke able pieces in the toys you present to your kids. Both of my kids can drink from cups and are recognizing letters. So just let them play and have fun. K’NEX encourage physical development, social-emotional development, language development, and cognitive development.
