Playhouse Disney is turning primetime into family time with the premiere of its new primetime special “Handy Manny Big Race,” Saturday night, March 20 (7:00-7:25 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel. We really enjoy watching Handy Manny whenever we are visiting someone who has cable. My kids have some coloring books and always ask me the names of the tools. We had to look some of them up to tell them. My son loves to hop up and jump in with the tools and he dances and sings. He’s all about music and fun. He loves to fix things and take them apart.
In this primetime event for preschoolers and parents, Manny and the tools hit the motor speedway as a pit crew for the highly anticipated Wood Valley 500. NASCAR Champion Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and N’SYNC’s Lass Bass guest star. Another big hit with my son, CARS!!!
To get your Family Night up to speed, visit Handy Manny Big Race and download fun “Handy Manny Big Race” themed recipes including Manny’s Mini Racing Wheel Burgers; Traffic Light Gelatin; Racing Stripe Veggies (a healthy and fun way for kids to eat their veggies); and Manny’s Energy Snack – a sure fire way to get the whole family energized for a fun night together!
In addition to the recipes, you can design a race car and submit it online for a chance to see it on TV, download Family Night Tips AND cut-outs of racing cars and winners’ flags.
Launched in 2006, Disney’s Emmy-nominated animated series "Handy Manny" shares the adventures of Manny, a bilingual handyman, and his talking tools. Geared toward preschoolers, the show helps kids learn important lessons like problem solving and working together while introducing them to Latin culture and common Spanish words and phrases.
This information was provided to me from Playhouse Disney, I chose to write about it because we like Handy Manny!
