Really fun Kids Music Announcements from Disney to Beyonce and the Beach boys to Yo Gabba Gabba

Beach Boys Meets Disney

Two giants of popular entertainment have come together as Brian Wilson, the pioneering musical genius who co-founded the Beach Boys and wrote many of the band’s greatest hits, has signed with Walt Disney Records.
In the months ahead, Wilson will record two new solo albums for the label’s Disney Pearl imprint, including one featuring covers of classic songs by great American songwriters, George and Ira Gershwin. For that recording, the Gershwin estate has given Wilson access to rare, unfinished pieces of music by George Gershwin, with which he will craft collaborative compositions unlike anything the world has seen.
He will follow that with an album of classic Disney songs, which the artist promises to “Brian-ize” with his trademark vocal stacks and unique arrangements. Release dates for each album have yet to be determined.

Wubbzy Idol

Wubbzy, his best friends, Walden, Widget and Daizy, can’t wait for the most popular girl group, The Wubb Girlz, to pay a visit to host the “Wuzzleburg Idol” talent show!  Everyone in town hopes to win the contest.  If Wubbzy can wow the judges, he’ll get the chance to go on to Wuzzlewood and perform with Sparkle, Shimmer, and Shine at their big concert and maybe even become a movie star!  But will he remember the importance of just being himself?

Rockin it out with Los Lobos

Rock icons Los Lobos are back with a new album for the whole family.  The three-time Grammy award winners have recorded an album of Disney Classics and a few obscure gems, but with a distinctive Latin rock n’ roll twist – Los Lobos Goes Disney.  Songs from Snow White, Robin Hood, 101 Dalmations, The Jungle Book, Toy Story and more round out this 13-track CD that will have fans young and old dancing and singing along.   See below for the full track listing.  A video featuring a montage of classic Disney clips is in production and will be released soon, so stay tuned.

Wizard’s of Waverly Place going to the movies CD #giveaway

WOWP-Cover-900jpgHave you noticed that being on a Disney TV Show means that you must be able to sing. That’s right, the characters that are on the TV Show The Wizards of Waverly Place can sing and this is the CD that is inspired by the TV show and their upcoming movie.

Wow a movie and a TV Show and they can sing. It’s not surprising since that’s where Brittany Spears, Justin Timberlake, and Christina Aguilera all came from originally as well. My sister told me I was old since I know that information. OMG, I was in shock that she said that.

So I made her listen to this CD with me today. I told her I have to review it. So we listened to it on our way to Dallas.

The show recently ranked as the No. 1 TV series for kids. Anticipation for the “Wizards of Waverly Place” upcoming film and release of the soundtrack is running high. The CD includes several new songs performed by series star Selena Gomez who had a live broadcast earlier today on facebook. Including “Disappear,” the rock ballad “Magical,” the show’s theme song “Everything is Not as it Seems” and a new version of Pilot’s 1975 Top 10 Hit “Magic”; This CD features exclusive behind-the-scenes interviews with Selena, plus her all-new music video.

So what did my sister and I think?

I thought it was great, oh wait, people thing bloggers that do reviews should use some other word that great. I thought it was simply musical and tween oriented. I mean, it’s good, it’s music that makes you want to move and it’s all about magic. I’d have to say that my favorite song was between Do you believe in magic, and Magic (The Cars). It made me want to dance but I was driving so I had to try to concentrate on the road.

Disney Records Mitchel Musso CD giveaway

MMcovRaw I’m a Disney Music Fanatic and sometimes it embarrasses me but at least I have children now so I can listen to it and use them as an excuse. So I was listening to “Hey” and I like it. It’s the kind of music I like to listen to. Upbeat  and fun, my one year old is bouncing at it. It’s a nice song for a teenager too, realizing that a break up is not the end of the world, sometimes it’s for the best.
