D3 — MomStart

I had quite a unique opportunity when Time To Play invited me to their Time To Play Holiday Showcase two months ago. At that time it was really hard for me to start thinking about Christmas but here I am now ready and already feeling a bit behind in Holiday Shopping. Ben 10 is a special treat for our family because it’s the most memorable time our family had as a family as far as blogging trips go. My kids still talk about the trip D3 took us on to introduce us to their Holiday Christmas Line Up a few years ago, and that included Ben 10. So I had to share the Ben 10 Toy Line up for 2011 along with the newest D3 Video game Ben 10 Galactic Racing.

Bandai’s new line of toys based on BEN 10 ULTIMATE ALIEN, the hit boys action property which, now in its sixth year, continues to grow and find new fans each year and here is this year’s highlights.

Ben 10 Tech Blaster

Wield the most powerful weapon in the universe. State of the art battle gear is at your fingertips with this multi-function piece of alien tech which features sounds, lights and voices. Kids can convert the high-tech case into five different toys, each with different play patterns: Deluxe Blaster, Mini Blaster, Super Decoder, X-Ray Scanner and Multi Scope.

Ben 10 Ultimate Alien Chest Badge

Now kids can have all their favorite alien voices at their command with the new Ultimate Chest Badge. With a turn of a dial and a smack to the badge like Ben, they can hear the voice of their favorite characters from the Ben 10 Alien Force or Ben 10 Ultimate Alien series. The Ben 10 Ultimate Alien Chest Badge features 14 alien voices and spikes eject when the unity is pressed indicating Ultimate Alien mode.

Ben 10 Ultimate Ultimatrix

The most advanced and aesthetically designed Ultimatrix to date. The detailed inlay of the watch and translucent materials let the wearer see the inner workings while being able to search for Azmuth’s secret signature. The Ben 10 Ultimate Ultimatrix features lights and sounds and is signed by Azmuth.

Ben 10 Revolution Ultimatrix

Spin into action and defeat evil aliens with the new Revolution Ultimatrix. The device comes with two Ultimate Alien mini figures that can be interchanged on the top provided. Place the top in the Ultimatrix, wind it up and set your favorite aliens spinning into action! The Revolution Ultimatrix also features an LED light to make the mini figures glow. The Product comes with two Ultimate Alien figures, Ultimate Big Chill and Ultimate Cannonbolt, and three evil alien cut-outs for target practice.

Ben 10 Ultimate Alien Collection 4” Figures

The Ultimatrix has gone Haywire and has mixed up the alien DNA! The new Haywire Action Figure series features Ultimate Aliens with unique DNA mixtures that have color mash-ups. Each 4” Haywire or normal Ultimate Alien figure comes with a mini figure. Other 4” figures come alone or with an accessory. Kids can place the mini alien figure on top of the Revolution Ultimatrix (sold separately), crank it up, and release to watch your favorite alien spin into action!

The Ben 10 Galactic Racing Game, this time featuring the Nintendo DS

So all of the basic information is the same about D3’s Ben 10 Galactic Racing video game as the previous post I wrote. It’s the same premise, but made smaller and was harder for me to play. The Kids had no problem with it.

Racing games are my favorite kind of video games, always have been and always will be. I just love racing around the track and Ben 10 Galactic Racing brings a new fun adventure to the screen with the Omnimatrix of changing characters and powers. It’s like Mario Kart in a way but at the same time different. It’s Ben 10 and you can play as either Ben, Kevin or choose from 13 fan-favorite aliens. BEN 10 Galactic Racing presents the ultimate racing experience, where every character has a special ability to utilize on the race track and even Ben can transform into different aliens mid-race! We played this as a family one night. Zoe against dad, mom against Miles and Zoe against Miles and Dad against Mom. We just kept taking turns until our hands hurt. It was a fun family night in. I had a great time playing and loved using my power ups to make my husband crash! Yep, I’m that kind of wife.

The Game Premise:

Every one thousand years, the Galvan alien species holds a celebration in space, where aliens from all over the galaxy attend a high-speed race. In BEN 10 Galactic Racing, players will compete as Ben himself, or choose from 15 fan-favorite aliens, in the Galactic Grand Prix Race that takes place in more than 25 exhilarating and challenging grand-prix tracks spread across five different planets from the BEN 10 universe.

This fast-paced and interstellar racer is coming this Fall to PS3, PSP, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS and Wii.

Our only complaint would be that the Xbox 360 gamer points are only available in single person mode. It’s quite a bit of fun earning gamer points. It’s one of my husband’s main objectives when he’s playing a game.
