I’m all about less is more when it comes to makeup. I don’t’ want people to know that I’m wearing it but sometimes I still need that coverage to even out my skin tone or cover up those little red nasties we get once a month. Or at least I know I get acne from time to time that I just want to hide under a gallon of foundation. The new COVERGIRL NatureLuxe Silk Foundation gives me a lighter, more natural-looking complexion and blends all of those imperfections I find on my face. COVERGIRL NatureLuxe Silk Foundation has a light touch of cucumber instead of heavier synthetics for a silky feeling that still provides flawless coverage.

I was quite happy to hear that Celebrity Makeup Artist, Jake Bailey (whose clients include Katy Perry and Kyra Sedgwick) recommends applying NatureLuxe Silk Foundation with your finger tips for the most natural finish or a flat tipped buffer/kabuki brush for more coverage where needed, because I’m always using my fingers to apply my foundation and was worried I was doing it wrong.

“If you feel you’ve applied a little more than was needed, use a sponge or a kabuki brush to "buff" off any excess product. The buffing creates a seamless "airbrushed" look. NatureLuxe Silk Foundation leaves a dewy finish that glows like real skin which is perfect for a fresh spring look. I recommend complementing it with a little cream blush and a light coral or pink lip.”

I really do enjoy the lightness of the COVERGIRL NatureLuxe Silk Foundation. It’s the first makeup that I feel compares to what I like to buy at department stores for twice the price. So it’s nice to have a foundation that I like at such a great price.

Jake also refers to this make up as a great find for all ages. He notes, “It’s a great foundation for younger skin, but I love to use it on a lot of my over 40 clients because it covers skin imperfections flawlessly without weighing down your skin or settling into fine lines. If I don’t achieve the desired result with one light application I simply add a small amount to the areas that require a little more coverage.”

COVERGIRL Simply Ageless Concealer and Corrector Photo Review

I have a PR friend that represents COVERGIRL and last month she sent me two new additions to the COVERGIRL and Olay Simply Ageless collection: Simply Ageless Concealer and Simply Ageless Corrector. The Concealer and Corrector work together to visibly brighten the skin under the eyes and hide the look of dark circles.

I didn’t read the directions I just decided to put it on my face.

The Before photo:

· COVERGIRL’s first creamy Concealer with Olay Regenerist serum glides over lines and imperfections, providing even coverage that blends well, leaving skin looking and feeling smooth.

· COVERGIRL’s Simply Ageless Corrector with special yellow intensive pigments and Olay Regenerist serum counteracts and neutralizes dark circles around the eye.

What I did:

I placed COVERGIRL’s first creamy Concealer with Olay Regenerist on my skin and rubbed it in. The color I had was a little bit too muddy for my face color. I’m really pale, paler than pale and I need a very pale concealer or base. So I didn’t really like the color.

Then I put on COVERGIRL’s Simply Ageless Corrector under my eyes and I loved it. It blended right into my skin and covered up blemishes under my eyes.

Can you see the difference? The red spots on my face are less red and the freckles are gone.

Yesterday COVERGIRL introduced its newest LashBlast mascara – LashBlast Fusion. This is the first time that COVERGIRL has released a volume and length mascara; making lashes long and full. Beautiful. I struggle with having nice lashes, the men in my life have the lovely full, long lashes and I’m jealous. I hardly wear makeup but when I do, my lashes are one of the areas that I have to pay extra attention to and I like COVERGIRL because it is affordable and easy to find. Most retailers carry it.
