Fitness Friday – Latin Dancing

So after skipping a month I am ready for my Latin Dancing giveaway. I posted the first link of my month long Fitness Friday Latin style here.

My second week ugg, didn’t happen but by the time I put the disk in it wouldn’t play. I think my kids scratched it. It is possible it came as a coaster but I think it was my children. I was lazy and depressed and ate pounds of Godiva chocolate and when I finally stepped on my Wii fit again this week, it said you have put on two pounds since you last got on. You need to use the me every day to see good results. You did not make your goal. So, I’m motivated to try harder. (of course this motivation comes after wanting to throw the fit at the screen)

It was my Wii that inspired me to finish reviewing my DVDs from the Core Rhythms

Before I finish up my review, let me tell you. Core Rhythms does not leave you hanging. They have two different websites that will help support you and provide a community in your quest to lose weight and get back into shape. They do recommend that you seek out your doctor before beginning an exercise program

CORE RHYTHMS PROGRAMKick Start DVD

This one is considered to have a slow tempo to teach the three basic moves of the workout. It is kind of boring but ESSENTIAL in learning how to dance. My husband and I took dancing lessons and we had to master the basic steps before our teacher would let us move on. It was quite frustrating sometimes. This award winning interactive DVD allows you to choose from front, back, split or zoom-in-on-the-core camera angles. To read more of my review click Latin style.

Full Workout DVD

This one is a 45 minute workout is quite a bit of work. I do like how it starts slow, builds and then they do a cool down period. I think these are key elements that all workout videos should have.  View every step from front or back. You can use the interactive help option to get help from Jaana and Julia’s tips.

Quick Workout DVD

This was by far my favorite one. I probably would have enjoyed Latin Dance Made easy but wasn’t able to review it. I was able to do the Samba and Meringue and work up a sweat and feel quite a tug in my middle area. It was an awesome workout and I know that my waist would love it if I continued to use this DVD alone for 20 minutes a day. Again, you have the option to choose the camera angle. That’s pretty neat on the DVD’ creators part.

Latin Dance Made Easy – was my scratched DVD but here is a quote from Posh Point of View

Here, dance champions, Bob and Julia Powers, teach three popular Latin dances, Salsa, Meringue and Rumba, that you and a partner can take straight to the clubs.
I know you want to try it out and see how well it works I will keep you updated on my progress. My neighbors and I are going to meet every Tuesday and dance away the inches and pounds.
