I bake a lot and it’s important to me to have highly quality products to use in my recipes whether I’m creating or recreating. I’ve recently discovered Hodgson Mill’s Whole Wheat flour as my base. Even if my recipe is a dessert to your coffee like my Almond Biscotti or a truly tasty chocolate piece likes my Bailey’s Cakes with Bite.

Life is quite crazy around here with two toddlers, no wait, they are preschoolers now, see that’s how Krazy life has been lately. Brighten Up Your Ball Game OxiClean Giveaway

I personally love going to watch a live baseball game at the stadium. Am I Wild Or Mild? Chili’s Shout Out To Eat Contest And Giveaway

Yummm, just thinking of Chili’s makes me want to eat out tonight. I love so much on the Chili’s menu that I always have a hard time ordering. I love the Chicken Crispers, the Queso dip, the nachos and many of the appetizers. I love their salad and the list goes on an on about what I like to eat there.

I BEG YOU CHILI’S COME BACK TO WASHINGTON PLEASE!

Now, in addition to serving all that delicious food, Chili’s has added new menu items with even more spice to either cool you down or heat you up, it’s the Wild or Mild Menu. Try their Kicked-Up Queso, Blazin’ Big Mouth Bites, Jalapeno Chicken Quesadillas and Sweet Maple BBQ Chicken Crispers. But, just in case you liked the taste the way it was, the original recipes are still on the menu!

Oh how I envy all of my readers on this one. I would LOVE to try these new spices, I would even love to take my Milesman with me because he loves spice. When we go eat at a Mexican restaurant he eats the salsa, all of it. MMM. My mouth is watering at that thought of Jalapeno Chicken Quesadillas, and sweet Maple BB@ Chicken Crispers. Ohh, and I never thought they could make Chicken Crispers better. So I have to live through you guys. If you’ve tried it tell me all about it!

Cooking with Kids – Video Contest

One of the new series that I write on Mom Start is called Cooking with kids. My true fans have told me how much they have missed it so I’m going to be bringing it back. I never knew how many of you read that article.

In my social networking circle I was introduced to Koodies – the social networking site for kids that like to cook. It’s where parents can learn tips on how to get your children involved in cooking or where you can go to find out what to do with your child that is already heavily involved in cooking.

Currently, they are having a video contest.

You don’t have to include your kids but I think cute kid factor will get you more votes. Good Luck entering the contest. Come back and tell me to vote for you if you do.

Clorox’s I Don’t Want To Miss Contest #idontwantomiss

I remember being in high school and going going going. My senior year, I had a job after school, marching band before school, and homework when I was supposed to be asleep; and never every stopped. Even when I got sick I wasn’t able to stop, I would not miss band practice or work. That was over ten years ago, I have hard that kids lives are even more full of activities now. Chances of kids getting all worn out and sick are on high levels. So Clorox is spreading the world about flu prevention with American Idol finalist Danny Gokey. Together they have launched I Don’t Want to Miss…, a national campaign designed to get teens and their teachers involved in flu prevention.

The dual risk of the seasonal flu as well as the 2009 H1N1 virus, makes this year’s flu season especially complicated. To help spread the word about flu prevention, former American Idol finalist Danny Gokey has paired up with The Clorox Company to launch I Don’t Want to Miss…, a national campaign designed to get teens and their teachers involved in flu prevention.

The program is in it’s second year and it features a contest that invites school musical groups, like glee clubs, show choirs, etc. to develop a video performance of a song written by Berklee College of Music student Will Wells on what they don’t want to miss out on if they were home sick and why prevention is important. The winning school will win a music class led by former American Idol finalist Danny Gokey! Isn’t he amazing?

For each entry submitted, The Clorox Company will donate $100 (up to $10,000) to the Sophia’s Heart Foundation, a charity founded by Gokey in honor of his late wife, Sophia, and dedicated to helping children achieve academic success via musical training and restoring musical dreams in children.

Contest Details:

- Download the song/lyrics.

- Share the song/lyrics with your teacher and school musical group.

- Check the judging criteria below to make sure you understand the directions.

- As a group, work together to develop a video performance of the song.

- Remember to include a video introduction and to include your teacher in the video and/or performance.

- Make sure your teacher collects signed consent forms from all students participating in the video. These will be needed if you win. You can find these forms under "Important Links."

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommend that children and teens over 6 months and up to age 18 get flu vaccinations. In addition to vaccination, the most important step in flu prevention, disinfecting frequently touched surfaces and washing hands often play an important role in prevention.
