Being a mother is the most difficult job you will ever encounter. You work work work and there is never a break. Most people that look at us do not even think that we work, but we are 24 hours 7 days a week. There are other moms out there that are like me; I do not live close to family. We do not have anyone that takes care of our kids and my husband is a bit on the none-trusting side and we haven’t gotten a sitter ever. So the only break I get is if my DH can give me one and he does from time to time but I still feel that I’m always taking care of them and at the end of the week I feel so old and tired.
Last night, I saw Harry Connick Jr at BlissDom. I’m am not the kind of woman that sees stars or swoons over famous people. It’s just not a big deal, but this was so much fun. Being in a room of my peers, listening and dancing to great music, I felt like I was back in my younger years, (I’m not that old, but I just feel old sometimes) enjoying myself without any worries. I think it was the first time that I was able to not worry about my children at all since they were born. I was completely relaxed. I danced, and stood in line like a teenager waiting to get my photo taken with Harry Connick Jr. I can’t wait to see how the photo came out. The photo above I took with My Cannon EOS, I love my camera, it looks like he was looking right at me and I was so far away. I also had the pleasure of shaking his hand and it made me feel special even though he was shaking hands with everyone he took a photo with. All of these things made me feel young, it was wonderful and I have to thank all the people that put BlissDom together. THANK YOU!
