Bing is more than just a search engine. Bing is working on ways to help people find information. They know that students are one of their top users and they want to do something for them. So, by helping teachers raise money for projects they are making a difference in communities all over the United States. Bing and DonorsChoose.org have teamed up to raise money for teachers and projects that will help them to inspire greatness in their students. Teacher Appreciation starts here! Teachers are so important and I know they are the least respected and in most areas not paid for the value they provide us all.
I have been given 100.00 to donate to a school of my choice, and I want to choose something local. Looking at all the different projects made choosing something very difficult. I took in a lot of factors, and ended up choose a school in a small city very close to mine. The teacher is only asking for a very small gift. She wants to provide a subscription of TIME FOR KIDS for each of her students. I just reviewed TIME FOR KIDS on my blog and I love it. I know she is going to
be able to use it to inspire her students.
I teach first graders who are always eager to learn. The majority come from homes without books and books at their reading level aren’t available. Over 70% of my students qualify for the free/reduced lunch program and 65% are English Language Learners. Over 45% of my students qualify for Title I reading assistance and/or Special Education instruction."
You can make a difference too. Just visit www.bing.com/education and post a comment or share a story about a teacher that touched your life or your child’s life and Bing will provide you with a $5 donation to DonorsChoose.org. You can then apply it toward any classroom project of your choice. Each visitor can leave up to 5 comments for a total of $25 that you can use as a donation. At the end of June, Bing will aggregate the comments and share them with each teacher in the form of a congratulations letter.
"I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Bing and a $100 DonoseChoose.org giving code to facilitate my review. Mom Central also sent me a thank-you gift certificate."
