My little Zoe often talks about our recent excursion to The Great Wolf Lodge, She calls it the Great Woof Wolf lodge, it’s an awesome pronunciation and I think they should change their name. Winking smile Because of our visits their we’ve been talking about wolves, how they live and the sounds they make. So when we received a copy of Alpha and Omega from Lionsgate they were excited to see it.

The movie starts off with Kate and Humphrey playing together and having a great time. Then Kate has to go to Alpha school where she will learn how to lead the pack. When they are reunited she tries very hard to stay away from Humphrey because Alphas and Omegas are not allowed to interact. Humphrey just will not have that, so he works very hard to see her and in one of his attempts the two of them are whisked on a journey that changes their lives and the packs lives.

Full Synopsis:

Come along on the ultimate road-trip adventure that will leave the whole family howling with laughter! When Kate, a take-charge “Alpha” wolf, and Humphrey, a laid back “Omega” wolf get snatched by park rangers and relocated halfway across the country, the two must set off on an incredible journey home. With the help of a goofy golfing goose and his quickie duck caddy, Kate and Humphrey won’t let anything stop them – prickly porcupines, grumpy bears, even a speeding locomotive – from getting back to Jasper Park in time to help save their pack from rival wolves. And along the way, Kate and Humphrey learn that even though they are complete opposites, they make a pretty good team! It’s a thousand miles of fun in this wildly entertaining journey the whole pack can enjoy together.

ALPHA & OMEGA in Theaters Friday September 17th Movie Giveaway

We were invited to a pre-screening of the movie ALPHA & OMEGA this past weekend and were unable to attend because the kiddos were sick. I have been watching the previews and trailers on-line and in the theater for Alpha & Omega and it looks pretty cute. Alpha & Omega will be viewable in the very popular 3-D atmosphere if that’s something you are interested in but it will also be available on a normal screen too. We love movies with talking animals. The kids just enjoy it a great deal. I wish we would have been able to watch it, I guess we’ll just have to go when everyone is feeling better, or watch it when it comes out on DVD.

SYNOPSIS:

What makes for the ultimate road trip? Hitchhiking, truck stops, angry bears, prickly porcupines and a golfing goose with a duck caddy. Just ask Kate and Humphrey, two wolves who are trying to get home after being taken by park rangers and shipped halfway across the country. Humphrey is an Omega wolf, whose days are about quick wit, snappy one-liners and hanging with his motley crew of fun-loving wolves and video-gaming squirrels. Kate is an Alpha: duty, discipline and sleek Lara Croft eye-popping moves fuel her fire. Humphrey’s motto – make ‘em laugh. Kate’s motto – I’m the boss. And they have a thousand miles to go.

Back home rival wolf packs are on the march and conflict is brewing. Only Kate and Humphrey can restore the peace. But first, they have to survive each other.
