I’ve always loved shopping at thrift stores and yard sales. They are a great source for amazing deals, and you never know what kind of gems you’re going to find! With the advent of the Internet and online shopping, I don’t spend as much time in brick-and-mortar stores as I used to, so I was thrilled to discover Swap.com – an online consignment and thrift store that combines the thrill of bargain hunting with the convenience of shopping at home!
Swap.com offers both new and pre-owned items such as clothing for children and adults, toys and games, movies and books, and decor. The site is easy to navigate and filters search results by price and type, making it easy to narrow down what’s available. If you don’t have a specific item in mind, you can browse through the categories for an experience that feels very much like hunting through a thrift store for the best treasures! And the prices are all great – exactly what you would expect from this type of shop.
If you’re looking for a new outfit to wear to a holiday party, this is a great resource for looking cute without dropping a ton of money! Pre-owned women’s clothing items start as low as $3.00, and there are over 9,000 brand-new-with-tags clothing items available too. I was spoiled for choice deciding what to get, but ultimately settled on a nice new pair of boots for Jai:
He needs a new pair of sturdy/water resistant shoes for our Pacific Northwest winter weather, so I thought these should fit the bill nicely. These boots are brand new with tags and were selling for $49.99 on Swap.com – I did a little research on the brand before I bought them, and saw that these boots normally retail for around $200. Score! Jai is going to love them!
In addition to shopping, you can also sell your own items on Swap.com. They provide a pre-paid shipping label for you to mail accepted items in for sale. They review, store, photograph and sell the items for you, and if the items don’t get sold, you can either have them shipped back to you, sell them to Swap.com directly, keep them stored by Swap.com, or have them donated. How awesome is that? One of my big projects in 2017 is getting ready for a big family garage sale, and every time we have a sale, there are inevitably items left over that I have to just get rid of. I love the idea that I can cherry pick some things to send over to Swap.com to potentially earn a little extra money, and that they can appropriately donate the items for me if they don’t find a home! I am going to definitely take advantage of this next year.
Whether you’re wrapping up your December shopping, picking up a cute dress for New Year’s Eve, or getting ready to clean house for those New Year’s Resolutions, Swap.com has something to offer you!
