Congrats to random number 22.
If you have been following my blog for a while, you know that I was chosen as one of the moms to test the new HTC Snap that only works on Sprint’s network. I was extremely excited to receive it and my initial reactions to the phone were AMAZING. I stopped writing about it because I became very busy with trips but for my first two trips I was so happy I had the phone. Airports charge you for wireless and I get bored waiting on planes. I usually sleep. Well, thanks to my HTC Snap I was actually able to get blogging work done while waiting in the airport.
However, it died! I had to take the battery out and put it back in and that’s why I stopped writing about it. I’m working with Microsoft and Sprint to try and figure out what’s wrong with my phone. So while we’re waiting let’s get the giveaway started.
I have an extra phone just waiting to enter someone else’s hands. I will run the giveaway for a week and a half because I need the winner to respond before noon on August 22. I have to get this phone in the mail to you before I head back to Washington. I don’t want to carry it on the suitcase with me. Having it on a suitcase with me once was tempting fate, twice I think it might disappear in the airport if you know what I mean.
Please first entry is required: visit Snap HTC and tell me something from the specs page, perhaps your favorite feature..
For every comment you leave on a post that has the tag HTC Snap, you get an entry into the giveaway.

I’ve shared with you how awesome the AT&T HTC One X is.
Never miss a shot again…ever. With continuous shooting you capture every moment. Just press and hold the shutter button and the camera captures every picture until you let go. It’s faster, smarter and more intuitive.

The camera on HTC One devices starts up in just under a second to ensure you capture the moment. Plus with photo and video capture buttons on the same screen, it’s easy to switch modes or simply snap a photo while recording HD at the same time.
I’ve shared with you how easy it is to share photos using the AT&T phone service using the HTC One X

Now thanks to AT&T I’m giving my phone that I tested for a month to one of my very lucky readers.

Using my borrowed AT&T device (will be a giveaway at the end of the month so you know) to take great pictures of things so far throughout the month of September has been easy and fun. I get to easily share them with my friends, family, and social networks at the exact time that they happen. For example, my daughter has her first day of school and I snagged her stepping off the bus as she came home from her first day of Kindergarten. All my friends and family who follow me on Facebook were able to share in that moment together and Look how precious it was!
Big huge smile on her face!!!!
I’m also in the process of snapping a photo a day depicting my city in the fall as the leaves and weather starts to change. Then AT&T will create a larger art display out of my image as well as images from other bloggers across America and I can’t wait to see it.
AT&T loaned out a phone to me and then is letting me give it away to one of my readers.
My husband is the biggest on-line shopper I know. He endlessly goes from site to site looking for the greatest deal. He can keep all that information up there in his head.
I have no idea how to do that. I have to get out my excel sheet out and write down the price from this site and the price from that site. I’m very list oriented. It’s one reason why I keep my blog layout like a list.
I was recently introduced to pebble.com and I thought I’d give it a go. So for my first try, I typed in HTC Snap. I was interested in what would come up since I’m doing a giveaway for one right now.
This is all I saw at first. I thought, oh no, it didn’t find anything for HTC Snap, perhaps it’s only for clothing or accessories, well I went ahead and typed in laptop comparison. It says you can ask questions right. So then I noticed that a list was down there below. All I had to do was scroll down.
So here is a list of what it found where I did HTC Snap.
So from here you can click on the item you were searching for and then you can compare prices on that exact item. It then takes you directly to the store that you need to purchase the item from.
Asking questions about items is easy.
"Online, it’s nearly impossible to find that personalized service. Many website product descriptions fall short in some areas – they don’t mention a feature you’re looking for; they forget to list dimensions; they leave off information about compatibility. That’s where Pebble.com comes in. We offer a place for users to pose those questions to other shoppers, who can then provide answers based on their first-hand knowledge of the products.”
You don’t have to just take my work or their word for it. Just go to the site and if you find a product you need to know something more about just ask. I found a question someone asked about HTC Snap and the world wide usage and there was an answer.

So the electricity went out last night at seven after I put the kids down to bed. I think there must have been a pop or something that scared my daughter because my bath was shortened to the sound of tears. I rushed to get out of my bed and went to console her. Her white noise was off. She went back to sleep after she calmed down and I went on a search for my cell phone. I am addicted to checking my e-mail. If I can’t do it on my computer then I check it on my cell.
I went from room to room and couldn’t find it. I looked for a flashlight because it was starting to get darker and darker. I could not find a flashlight. I was at a loss. What do I do with now power and no light. My husband was working late and tried to call me but you can’t answer the phone when you don’t hear it ring or have no idea where it is.
So, I went to bed.
Going to bed early never works, why, because I wake up at midnight and feel like I slept a full night’s sleep. Then two hours later, I’m exhausted. When I work up this morning I was so tired I had no idea how I was going to get through the day. Let, alone, I still had no idea where my cell phone was. The good news being that the power had been restored at midnight when I awoke. I e-mailed my husband and he came home from work to help me find my cell phone.
He found my cell phone in the van this morning before he went to work. All this being said, I don’t think I could survive without my technology. I’m getting a new phone from Microsoft and Sprint today. I’m going to be apart of a few moms that are testing the new HTC Snap. I’m really excited about it, I just hope it has a homing device so I can find it every day. I invite you to follow my experience with my new phone and whenever you leave a comment on a post that has HTC Snap, it’s an entry to win one yourself. They are giving me one to giveaway too. So the secret word of the week is HTC Snap.
This post is sponsored by Aflac. I was compensated for writing it, but all opinions are 100% mine.
This past year my aunt was diagnosed with Cancer. Within a month she died; it was shocking, surprising, and upsetting. She was an amazing loving women whom everyone loved.
I couldn’t believe it and neither could the rest of my family. Aflac contacted me this holiday season and asked me to be an Aflac Holiday Helper. #AflacHolidayHelpers are fulfilling holiday wishes like providing families with presents, treating a family to a day of excursions in their city, decorating homes for the holidays and much more. Of course my thoughts went to my uncle and cousin as soon as I was asked to be an Aflac Holiday Helper. I know how much they have been hurting (the grandkids, too) and I wanted to use this opportunity to do something special for them to cheer them up a bit.
What we decided to do was rent a house on the lake for two weeks and I’m paying for their portion of the house. No one wants to be in their house because the loss of my aunt is still so fresh – it was only a few months ago. Christmas without a loved one is hard anyway, so this is a fantastic way to lighten the air a bit. And it seems to be working out great, everyone is getting into the holiday spirit because the house is decorated very nicely for Christmas. Plus we plan on doing a little more decorating. *Delete photo with Elf on the Shelf.
There is a beautiful tree and other decorations everywhere.
It’s also nice being so close to the lake. I can easily give my cousin a break from her daughter by walking all the kids down to the lake for some fun.
