I haven’t posted with the Wii Mommies Fitness Friday since about May. Did I have great fitness without them? No I did not. In fact, from June through December I put on 7 lbs. This is a huge step back for me because I can’t put my pants on. I have one pair of jeans that I can wear and I haven’t been able to wear those since my surgery. When I went in for my surgery I weighed 157. I need to weigh between 114 and 135, my goal is to be 130 before BlogHer2010.

I know deep down that this is going to take a lot of work and dedication. It’s going to take a lifestyle change. I need to drink water every day. One whole glass before every meal will help lower my appetite. I need to stop snacking at bed time, and I need to stop eating off of the kids plates after each meal.

I need to get control of my serving sizes even when it’s something I LOVE. I need to wait before I get seconds and give my stomach some time to settle before I load up on more food. I need to cute back on my sugar intake and coffee creamer. I should give up coffee but that’s an unrealistic goal so I’m going to try and just cut back.

I’m supposed to be exercising right now but it has to be very light. Mostly the only thing I’m approved for is walking so my goal for the week is to walk three times. I don’t want to set such high goals that I just give up again. Giving up is not an option. It’s not healthy to be carrying around all this extra weight so I’m going to do something about it.

So for the seven days my concentration will be on drinking water, and walking. Hope I can talk the kids into walking with me. ;-) . Fitness Friday – DVD Series Core Rhythms

So, to summarize my wii usage for the past week, it has been Nada. I have been busy with the kids and yesterday/today depends on when you read this was my son’s birthday, so I have been busy with preparations. Your little man only turns one once right.

Anyways, Since, I do fitness Friday posts that are not just about the wii like all of the other wii fit moms. I was given the opportunity to review the Core Rhythms DVD set. It’s all about dancing and I had no idea that I was getting a DVD set. I thought I was going to get one DVD about dancing. Nope, I got four. The first four are only the Starter Pack. Wow, but it makes sense learning Latin dancing is hard. Do you watch Dancing with the Stars? I do, love it!!!

I have no hips, and for Latin dancing it’s all about the dishwasher move. I have a terrible time. My husband was good at Latin dancing.

For the next four weeks I’m going to share mine and my daughter’s journey through the DVD program. For Disk one, it was just a beginning movement DVD. For those of you who are looking for a strenuous workout, skip disk one. For me, please do not laugh, because it was only stand in place movement. I couldn’t do it. My hips are just funky when it comes to Latin music. Maybe I just try to hard. I look forward to doing more than the stand in place movements because then it’s less noticeable if my hips are doing the right thing or not. There are a number of other DVDs that are part of the program which are available through their exclusive Club Core Rhythms and they have an on-line community for support.

For my daughter, she did the hand motions and pushed her hips out right and left. She was so cute. I’m going to have to VLOG it for you next week, if I get my camera from New Baby.

Fitness Friday WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m so sorry ladies I have bad news to report.

I am not fit I have failed for two weeks in a row. I think I put on a little, All I want to eat is junk, and I’m hungry all the time and if I’m not eating I’m nauseous. Yes it sounds like I’m pregnant, but I’m NOT, can’t be, I had to go back on a medicine for my arthritis and it’s making my pain better but the side effects are making me eat or feel terrible. At least I can move and get out of bed every day.

Sorry, I wish I had better things to report. I think the wii fit moms are giving away prizes.

Wii Fit Moms – Fitness Friday

I am late in posting my Fitness Friday post. Shame on me, I’m also late on a review for General Mills and it’s 9:00 PM so it’s either going to be a long night or I’m going to get even further behind.

I’m glad I didn’t get my post done last night because look at my work out partner today. I’m in the background copying him you can barely see me. I did some walking, I didn’t do much wii fit, but we downloaded the Tetris Party game that you can play with the fit.

Thursday
I took the kids to MOMS Club and then we went to Albertsons and I was so proud of my daughter, she walked the entire time and had such a fun time grocery shopping with mommy. She picked out stuff and threw it in the cart, even though she could barely reach.

Friday
Played Tetris with my board it was fun and I didn’t do it for very long, but my butt is sore. So I reccomend it, so does my son as you can see above. ;-)

I didn’t take my weight or watch what I ate so forgive me I’ll include next week.

Wii Fit Moms – Fitness Friday


Oh my dear wii fit moms, please help me. How, with Valentine’s day around the corner, and chocolate all around do I stay fit. Do I need to do extra exercising, because with all of the stress currently in my life I need the chocolate. I hear the exercise is good for the stress, but I don’t have time for it and that is part of the stress. I’ve been working on a major project around the house and it has taken every spare second that I have. I am constantly working on it and then at night I rest by blogging.

My son just became mobile and he books it. My daughter was slow to move but she goes everywhere now and my son just wants to be with her. So away they go. And me shortly after just to make sure they don’t get into too much trouble. If a post ever seems random or completely cute short lately that’s why.

So I have my box of chocolates sitting right next to me as I’m writing my Fitness Friday story. Seems quite ironic. I have lost count of how many meals I skipped this week and I somehow tell myself that is how I make it ok to eat the chocolate, until I heard my daughter ask her dad if he ate breakfast this morning, and she said something about mom didn’t. It was odd, and I thought, oh no, she’s only two but she already notices that I’m not eating regularly. Sigh, I need to take better care of myself so that she can learn to. I have to stop with all of the negativity surrounding my body and my image of it.

Monday
Storage unit where I moved boxes around for my project. I wanted to find my boots for Valentine’s day but I didn’t find them and I’m not going out so, I didn’t look that hard. That was my workout. Boxes are heavy and I have the bruises to prove it. Then we had a play date.

Tuesday
I went to Albertsons because I had to use my coupons, and the cashier made me GRUMPY. After Albertsons, I had to take my kids back home for lunch and we all had naps.

Wednesday
I know I didn’t stay home, but I can’t remember what I did. Oh, I took another shot at looking for my boots, so I moved more boxes around, I didn’t find them, or the box that had something my husband wanted me to find. I am so tired. I hope this counts as my exercise.

Thursday
I did more grocery shopping and I’m going to blog about that next then I’ll come back here and leave the link for it. We went to Safeway and saved 92 percent. I’m doing really well right now at Safeway. Then we went to Target and I found stuff to make my home look so wonderful. Target is having a clearance on home decor. We also went to the Food Bank to drop off some food.

Friday
Well, I always post on Thursday night so it is very hard to tell what I’m going to do on Friday.

Fitness Friday


Guess What Julie, if you come to visit me.

I’m doing the happy dance because my husband budgeted a Wii Fit into our budget. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!

Now I’m a true Wii Fit Mommy.

I didn’t get it until Thursday night but my daughter (two years old) was so excited to help me open it. She went with Daddy to go to Costco and they brought it home. She came in and said. Wii Mommy. Wii.

We opened it, but it was her bed time. So I’ll show her how to use it tomorrow. I can’t wait to watch her imitate me tomorrow morning. That’s how I get her to do stuff. She Adores me and her father and wants to be exactly like us. If mommy is acting silly and dancing then she will too. Fun.

So, I’m bloated from, I think I saw someone say “Nancy”. I haven’t been in the mood for anything. I haven’t even wanted to do my recruiting for Bloggers Give. Why does the bad mood have to start and last a week before and after. (yes, I like to exaggerate).

I didn’t go anywhere, oh wait, Wednesday I took my daughter to the doctor. I did some baby wearing and my daughter walked. Then we went to Target. So I got a little bit of exercise. I did also have a little bit of restraint when it came to the cookies. I only ate 6 at a time instead of the whole package.
Friday
This is my first day with the Wii Fit. I’m very excited to give it a whirl. Just setting it up was fun. I don’t stand straight and my balance stinks. My BMI is in the high range of healthy and I need to lose 10 lbs to be where I am supposed to be. That’s nice to have something tell you where you are and where you need to be.
