It’s Prescription Time at Target

This week, in the Sunday Paper, there are coupons for 10.00 Gift Cards at Target for a new prescription. I already purchased the early Saturday release of the Sunday Paper. I bought three.

I have two prescriptions that I have been saving for this coupon and my husband has one that he as to get every month so that will be 30.00 dollars added to our budget. This makes me happy, we have slacked so bad on our budget lately. It’s time to crack the whip and get back to saving.

Sunday Savings

The round up for the week of where to find the great deals and freebies.

I noticed this week that My Precious Pennies has some great freebies listed. They are hard to come by right now as my freebie list The Free Shoppe has been quite slow with finding them.

Lets start with Albertsons this week. Remember though, starting on Wednesday they will have a new sale going on.

I went in this week to pick up a few things and I saved quite a bit as I usually do. Since they take competitors coupons, I used one of my 5.00 off of 50.00 from the Entertainment book. I highly recommend getting an Entertainment book. They cost around 20.00 depending on where you live and they save you way more than they cost. I’ve already used 4 5.00 off coupons and that has saved me 20.00 exactly what I paid for it. You can usually get free shipping or some other kind of discount.

Albertsons is running an add for every 4 boxes of selected Kelloggs Cereal you can get them for 1.75 a box and if you have the coupons for 1.00 off of each box then you can get them for 75 cents a box. Also, General Mills is running their special. They seem to run one to two times every month. Right now for participating items every time you spend 20.00 you get 5.00 back. I purchased 4 packages of cookie dough, and four boxes of cereal. I had coupons adding up to 5.50 so I got all of it for 9.50. The register didn’t take it off though so I had to stop by customer service to get my 5.00 back. It really pays to check your receipt.

I know there are people out there that think coupons are a waste of time but that’s wrong. I went from 55.00 to 32.00 using coupons. That’s a savings of over 20.00 that’s not including what I saved from buying when something is on sale.

Safeway:
Here is an Oregon Deal:
Quaker Chewy Granola Bars are $2.99, buy two get three free. At the Keizer SAFEWAY there is a coupon machine right there with the granola bars with $1.00 off two boxes coupons.
10 boxes of granola bars (buy four get six free)
$11.96 ($2.99 x 4)
- 5.00 (-$1.00 x 5 coupons)
- 2.00 (SAFEWAY doubler)
$4.96 for 10 boxes of granola bars, $.50 per box. From the SupersaversinSalemOregon emailing list.

If you live in a state that doesn’t double coupons like I do, You should be able to use 10 coupons for 1.00 off each and get all of them for 1.96. There are Quaker coupons that you can get at the coupon clippers. Not sure if you can get them by Tuesday though. We’ll have to watch and see what the add is going to say next week.

See More Safeway Savings at The Super Coupon Girl. Wow she did well last week. It’s always good when you make money buying what you need.

Fred Meyer:
I briefly looked at the ad and didn’t see anything that would help me and their ad comes out on Sundays. Here is a deal The Super Coupon Girl did last week. You’ll have to keep up on her blog to find out how she saves this week coming up.

Walgreens:
All I know is that with a coupon the toothpaste I like to use is on sale. So maybe I can go to Walgreens to get free toothpaste.
You can check out Coupon Cravings
Later this week you will find more details from Walgreens at: Sisterly Savings, Keeping the Kingdom First and The “Cent”sible Sawyer and “Cents”able Mom.

Rite Aid:
GARNIER FRUCTIS Shampoo, Conditioner or Stylers Price: $2.99(After $2.99 mail-in rebate/on-line rebate, your final price is Free!) Add 1.00 coupon to that and you make a 1.00.

CVS:
CVS is not local to where I am. I am jealous of those that live near one because making money at CVS seems to happen all the time. They also have a survey program where you can earn gift cards to spend in their stores. It is just too good to be true. So you can use Coupon Cravings, Keeping the Kingdom First and The “Cent”sible Sawyer and “Cents”able Mom.

Publix:
I don’t have a Publix either. I found some savings advice for you at the Coupon Saving Family

Target:
Now I looked through the Target ad and I don’t need anything. I’m stocked up on everything. I did notice Cheer is on sale and it hardly ever goes on sale so I already switched to a cheaper brand. I love Cheer as a laundry detergent, but I’m out to save my family money now. I did give up Latte’s before before I gave up Cheer so that says a lot about Cheer. I have Attention Target Shoppers in my RSS feeds in outlook so I saw that there is a place on-line that lists when stores are doing their deals. Here is Targets, but she did warn that they might switch it. It is called Deal Beacon. Oh and to let you all know, Target has marked down the boxes of Huggies Supreme that were 29.99 to 25.15 or something like that and they might go down cheaper Monday. Great savings on diapers.

WalMart:
We don’t even get an ad for WalMart so you can go to Mommy Snacks for WalMart savings.

If you want to see someone who has the pharmacy stores planned out on a budget of 800.00 for the whole year (that also includes g
rocerys) look at Justine’s Grocery Brags

The Coupon Clippers for the coupons you might be out of.
