1) Yes I have lots of flowers coming up in the yard but I was too lazy to show you them on the video. So you really didn’t miss much if you didn’t watch the video. I do have some planters, and we’re growing some flowers from seeds but we have to wait until the weather warms up some before we transplant them outside.

2) I don’t have cable and we don’t and have never ever watched American Idol. I have watched it while visiting family but it’s not my thing.

3) It snowed last week and my husband pelted me right on the head.

What Decade Would be the Most Fun? Monday Mingle

Ahh, This morning I had a terrible time keeping my eyes open and I fell asleep on the couch. I found the kids playing nicely upstairs and decided maybe I should try to get my day started. As you can see, the first thing I decided to do was record my Monday Mingle, I didn’t even brush my hair. Go Me!

Did your Kids want to get out of Bed this morning? Monday Mingle Vlog!

Today’s Questions:

This week’s questions (submitted by Robyn from Robyn’s Online World):

1. What time do you set your alarm for on weekdays?
2. How long does it take your kids to get out of bed from the time you first wake them to when the feet actually touch the floor?

3. What is your best and worst thing about getting the kids up and ready for school?

Today was our first day back into the routine of getting up. It was quite a rough day for all of us. I found that my body moved like molasses. The alarm went off and Abby begged me to get up. So I took the dog out, came back upstairs and went back to bed hoping my husband would turn the alarm off. When it went off again, he snoozed it five minutes, and then when it went off for the third time this morning I was still hoping he would just say let’s sleep in again. But alas, it was time to get back to our schedule so he went to work and I got the kids up. Oh man it’s been a long day so far.

I’m happy to be back to a schedule though, and hopefully we’ll see some new things on everyone’s blogs this year.

Romantic Vacation Spots Where Would You Go?

Have you thought about where you would love to go for a Romantic getaway? I think about it all the time and it’s the beach. I love being warm, I love the sound of the ocean, and I love the sand in my toes. I love how bright it is and the cool blue color that the ocean has, and the green it has in Destin on the Amalfi Coast.

But, today when I considered the question for Monday Mingle over at Eighty MPH Mom, I thought about what my husband would like. Because it wouldn’t be a romantic getaway without him right? We spent our Honeymoon in Victoria. It was amazing, it was beautiful, and even though it was in the Summer, there was only one really hot day. We rode a water taxi, ate excellent seafood, and visited the Butchart gardens. The Butchart Gardens are lovely. Victoria is quite a tourist place with a lot of history and the buildings further illustrate just how historic Victoria is. One of my favorite things to do was have high tea, I think we had high tea five times.

Late Monday Moment – Life gets in the way sometimes

Last Monday I posted my first Monday Moment and yesterday, life got in the way of all of my plans and I didn’t get a lot of posts posted that needed to go up. I ended up going to bed crying because of how stressed I was about getting behind, my blog design isn’t going well, and my daughter yelling at me all day. Yesterday I needed a Mommy moment for sure.

Monday Moments by Starbucks

For the next three weeks, Starbucks is hosting a Monday Moments with moms in celebration of their new product: Frappuccino Light. The Frappuccino Light comes in Vanilla and Mocha. Monday Moments are about moms taking time for themselves. Which is something I honestly don’t do enough.

This is a photo of the litl that I’m reviewing, but the Monday Moment for me is that it is naptime and the kids are asleep and I’m relaxing in the peace and quite.
