Hugo Movie Synopsis:

While on a daring adventure to find his family, Hugo Cabret discovers a robot in the walls of a Paris train station which transports him to a world of wonder, mystery and magic.  In this place, he and an eccentric girl piece together the mystery surrounding his missing family, using the robot, a heart shaped lock and the comical characters they meet along the way as clues and the road map back to where he belongs.

Based on Brian Selznick’s award winning and imaginative New York Times bestseller, The Invention of Hugo Cabret, this magical tale is Academy Award®-winner Martin Scorsese’s first film shot in 3D.

Download BBC Earth Free 4/12 through 4/26

I love BBC! I’m always watching something new from BBC, but there are some things that are just classics and can be watched over and over. We have a copy of BBC Earth that we purchased a few years ago. It’s actually a series and there is more to the story than what we own. What’s exciting is that starting tomorrow, you can download a few episodes free in iTunes.

In celebration of Earth Day’s 40th anniversary, the beloved and award-winning BBC Earth series Planet Earth is now available on iTunes with a special, one-time free episode download (“Pole to Pole”) from April 12 – 26, 2010.

This jaw-dropping, 11-part series from the BBC’s Natural History Unit presents the epic story of life on Earth. Series producer Alastair Fothergill and his team spent four years in production, over 2000 days in the field, using 71 cameramen filming across 204 locations in 62 countries to capture the ultimate portrait of our planet. It has garnered legions of fans and universal critical acclaim with Oprah Magazine saying “It is the most beautiful, wondrous and truly majestic series – the best thing I’ve ever seen on TV.” Using a budget of unprecedented proportions and captured on HD cameras, Planet Earth is among the highest rated and best selling HD programs ever made. It offers stunning visuals perfect for any HD television or HD handheld device like the Apple iPad which launched on April 3rd.

The BBC Natural History Unit has been producing extraordinary programming for over 50 years, and continues to take viewers to new and exciting parts of our Earth. Planet Earth, a BBC/Discovery co-production, aired on the Discovery Channel in 2007. It is the must-see precursor to the highly anticipated BBC nature series Life, currently airing on the Discovery Channel and releasing on DVD June 1, 2010 from BBC Video.

Addicted To Freebies

I love to sign up for freebies. I think this is something that I might have inadvertently picked up from my mom. When she goes places, like fairs, or concerts, or workshops, pretty much anywhere and there is table of swag she likes to fill up a bag with all of it. It would drive me crazy when I was growing up. I would just want to go home or go hang out with my friends and she would be dragging me around looking for freebies.

I have refined myself from her habits a bit. I like to get stuff that I’m going to use. Otherwise it is waste and it takes up room in my garbage can and it hurts the environment. So, I try to sign up for only stuff that I am going to use or that will send me a coupon.

Where do I find my freebies? Everywhere. Shopping at the pharmacy stores has been great lately. I had no idea Rite Aid had good deals. I thought it was expensive at first. Wrong! Well it can be expensive if you buy stuff that isn’t on sale. For more deals at Rite Aid, Walgreens, or CVS, visit Centsable Momma, My Precious Pennies, or Coupon Cravings.

You can also find freebies at Target when you combine Target coupons with manufacturer coupons. I had to go to Target today because I had quite a few coupons that expired today that were Target coupons. I combined those with sales and manufacturer coupons and got some baby shampoo for free and some baby wipes for dirt cheap.

I also find freebies through on-line searches and I write freebies listings for MomGiveaways. I submitted a very large list of Freebies tonight so go over there and get addicted.
