Jumble Pie Review/Read it yourself

A book by: Melanie Lynne Hauser

Melanie decided to be a mother and she raised two children, boys, and became a supermom. She drove her sons to soccer practices, track meets, music lessons and orthodontist appointments and joined the PTA. After her children grew up she realized she never had a career and decided to do something she loved. Well, she loved reading so she took a stab at writing. She wrote Confessions of a Super Mom and the sequel Super Mom Saves The World. To read more about Melanie visit Melanie Lynne Hauser

Jumble Pie is one of the first books she wrote before anything she wrote was published. So this is one of her first books and is finally making it to the printing presses as it should. For now, it is still only available in e-form. You can download it from her site see link below, or you can get a copy to read on the kindle. I LOVE electronic reading as my laptop is ALWAYS in my lap.

Jumble Pie is a heart warming story about friendship and how women keep secrets to keep friends from being hurt. In this story, Melanie begins in the present time and then flashes back to when the friendship began between these two girls. What girls am I referring to? Emily and Juliet and their precious pie. Well, there is more to their friendship than that but you’ll have to read this light hearted, playful word collection yourself.

Hear Melanie describe how a Horrible Swiffer Accident gave the world its newest superhero:

You can still get a free download of the book. www.MelanieLynneHauser.com/JumblePie

Getting into Christmas

Do you find yourself having a hard time dealing with Christmas this year?

I am on a few frugal lists and freebie sites and people are depressed about Christmas. How are they going to buy their kids presents how are they going to keep everyone happy?

I don’t know how to answer all of these questions except by looking to my faith. We need to remember what Christmas is about, and not the commercialism. We need to remember family and others in need. Mostly, we need to remember the birth of Jesus. This is something that we do with our daughter and now that we have a son we will do it with him as well.

We will read the story of Christ’s birth. We have a touch and feel Christmas story book. This will be one of our family traditions and I can’t wait to build more.

I was reminded to look into the happiness of Christmas when I was given the opportunity to read and review the e-book Saving Christmas Magical Tips for creating lasting Christmas Memories through FaithApproved.

This e-book was put together by Denise Willms. Denise set out to create an e-book that would teach everyone how to save money and how to keep themselves sane during the Holidays. She asked her friends at WAHM-articles to help her with ideas and what she found turned into a compilation of Saving Christmas.

By ghostwriting content moms like to read, Denise Willms helps gain exposure and build reputations for those who market to moms. Go to www.WAHMArticles.com/forum and sign up for your free account to learn more about writing WAHM Articles, and building your own relationship with the mom market.”

Denise organized her story and stories from the following group of people into an inspiring anecdote reminding us of what Christmas means and how we should treat family and how we should not let family treat us.

You can purchase your copy of Saving Christmas at WAHM-articles. I’m ready to put up my tree and get out all of the decorations. I can’t wait until the smell of pumpkin pie drifts from the kitchen. This is excellent at re-introducing us to Christmas. It reminds me of the song from The Grinch, sung by Faith Hill. “Where are you Christmas”.

Christian Charm School

I was given the opportunity to review a new e-book entitled Christian Charm School through my friend Courtney. I thank you and Alyssa for this opportunity.

The e-book is by Alyssa Avant.

It is an e-book for girls and it is a workbook called Christian Charm School.

About the author: Christian Writer and Speaker, Alyssa Avant
Dynamic speaker and creative facilitator Alyssa Avant uses fun-filled events and the word of God to inspire girls and young women to embrace individuality and true, God-given beauty. Her events help girls gain self-esteem and leave all who attend with a greater understanding of their value and potential. Using biblical principles and her own experiences, she gives young people the courage to reject worldly values and look to God for affirmation and validation.
A Special Message from Alyssa
It is my heart’s passion to help bring out the beauty that is in all of us by God’s own design. Through uniquely designed events and empowering information, I help girls discover how they, too, can be different, set apart, and truly beautiful in the eyes of God and others for being who they really are. It is my hope and prayer that I can be a part of your ministry or organization’s efforts to touch the lives of young people.
More about author

My take on Christian Charm School:

I had a little trouble sitting down and getting into this because of all the distractions going on around me. So I had to get into a quiet place and really look at this and think about it. My daughter is only 21 months old, but as I read this and got into it. It made me think of all the things I want for my daughter. I was listening to Focus on the Family on the radio and children’s self image issues/eating disorders are on the rise in our country. Not only obesity, but also anorexia/bulimia. I have lots of self-image, confidence issues myself and do not want to pass them on to my daughter. Christian Charm School is something that would benefit other children. Alyssa goes through four workshops that touch on very important issues young girls face in a very simple biblical way. One thing that really touched me was the biblical passages and their relevance. Her book reminded me of the importance that faces everyone with the time we need to set aside for study and prayer with God. Not only does she with how we treat our bodies through diet and exercise but also how we treat the inner body through Jesus. She has other studies available as well. Thank you for sharing this with my family.
