I love saving money and the best way is to clip those coupons and use them as cash at the grocery store. In order to do that you need to find as many sources for coupons as you can. One way is on-line coupons. On-line coupons usually need to be printed in color for the store to accept them. Seems that pasta is pretty easy to get free or almost free. I often see it for sale 10 for 10 at Safeway and Albertsons. The brands seem to vary too, one week one will be on sale and the next week the other will be on sale.
Did you know that feeding your family a pasta dinner can cost less than $5, depending on the ingredients you choose? Mueller’s Pasta, one of the great brands from American Italian Pasta Company (AIPC). Versatile, affordable, and delicious, Mueller’s pasta truly is perfect for your family meals. With multiple shapes and varieties to choose from, you can create dishes that are hot or cold, hearty or light and fresh, at a very reasonable cost. I know that sometimes we all feel a bit bored cooking the same pasta dishes over and over, so we want to inspire you with great family recipes and a printable coupon at www.pastavalue.com

I have always thought that the snuggle bear is so cute. I want one to cuddle with. I’m a teddy bear girl, i have been since, high school. Funny right? Never had an attachment to a doll except Rainbow Bright. And she was more of an obsession and still is just a little bit.
So I went in to buy the buy two Betty Crocker Products and get three free. So, I purchased:
Five Boxes of Cake Mix
Six tubs of icing (I didn’t mean to get six, I think my daughter threw another one in the basket)
I really love the Entertainment Book. I have Three!! I used one of my save 5 off of 50 coupons, I was just over 50.00 after all of the Safeway sale discounts. Made me very happy. I had quite a few coupons today, and many of them were free product coupons. I used them because I knew that I would still get 10 percent back from everything I purchased. I can’t believe I got all that for 7.50. The cleaning products alone would be more than that. If you ever hear someone say that coupons are worthless, send them over here.
Total Before any savings: 76.05
Sale Item savings: 30.12
Coupon Item Savings: 38.43
Total Savings: 68.55
Total Out of Pocket: 7.50
This week I have to start off with the fact that there is a 10.00 off coupon in the paper at Safeway when you spend 50.00. I’m going to Safeway to buy diapers this week. I think they are on sale too. I just wish they carried the Huggies supreme in a size 6. I might even buy another paper to see about getting this coupon, or there might be some in the mail boxes down the street. I’ll have to go see about that before I buy another paper. There are a ton of coupons actually. There is a Mott’s coupon for 99 cents purchase price.

The round up for the week of where to find the great deals and freebies.
Now onto Albertsons for this week. Remember though, starting on Wednesday they will have a new sale going on.
I will use one of my 5.00 off of 50.00 from the Entertainment book when I go in this week. I haven’t made a list yet. I think the ad was very un-impressive as far as sales were concerned. I will get some more creamer. You can click on creamer to get the coupon for 1.00 off. You have to register for the site but it’s worth it. I always print out as many as I can and have to wait before I can print more out. I need to make a list so that I can also blog about my meal plan. Hmmm.
They are running a deal on General Mills cereal buy four boxes at 2 for 5 and get a free gallon of milk. We bought our milk at Costco this week because it was cheaper and my daughter has switched to fat free, without a fuss too. Every time you buy three boxes of general mills a coupon for 1.50 off of three will print out. This is called a catalina coupon. Some stores will let you combine a catalina with a manufacturers coupon. Some won’t.
Fred Meyer:
I briefly looked at the ad and didn’t see anything that would help me and their ad comes out on Sundays. Here is a deal The Super Coupon Girl did two weeks ago. You’ll have to keep up on her blog to find out how she saves this week coming up. I will buys some gas cards at Fred Meyer because I get points for them and points turn into cash at the end of every quarter.
Walgreens:
The add has some really great coupons that I am going to cut and use at Albertsons. Water for 4.49 which is now a good price. I really liked when water was 3.99. I can’t even find it at Target that cheap. There are a ton of freebies at Walgreens this week. The front page lists
Revlon Age Defying Spa Concealer or Foundation
Revlon Creme Lip Gloss
Garnier Fructis Wonder Waves Hair Care
Zucol ColdCare
ThermaCare
All are free after the Easy Super Saver Mail in Rebate. I found a money maker if my coupons haven’t expired. I have 4 dollar off coupons for Venus Razor products. If they still work then combine that with Register Rewards I can make some money. I’ll have to check my coupons. I got the coupons from Vocalpoint
You can check out Coupon Cravings
Later this week you will find more details from Walgreens at: Sisterly Savings, Keeping the Kingdom First and The “Cent”sible Sawyer and “Cents”able Mom.
Rite Aid:
Soy Joys are on sale 5 for 5.
CVS:
CVS is not local to where I am. I am jealous of those that live near one because making money at CVS seems to happen all the time. They also have a survey program where you can earn gift cards to spend in their stores. It is just too good to be true. So you can use Coupon Cravings, Keeping the Kingdom First and The “Cent”sible Sawyer and “Cents”able Mom.
Publix:
I don’t have a Publix either. I found some savings advice for you at the Coupon Saving Family
Target:
Now I looked through the Target ad and I don’t need anything. I’m stocked up on everything. I did notice that the clothing has gone to 75 percent off even though it isn’t advertised as such. I have Attention Target Shoppers in my RSS feeds in outlook so I saw that there is a place on-line that lists when stores are doing their deals. Here is Targets, but she did warn that they might switch it. It is called Deal Beacon. She also has a coupon match up for coupons and Target sales.
WalMart:
We don’t even get an ad for WalMart so you can go to Mommy Snacks for WalMart savings.
If you want to see someone who has the pharmacy stores planned out on a budget of 800.00 for the whole year (that also includes groceries) look at Justine’s Grocery Brags
for the coupons you might be out of.

The round up for the week of where to find the great deals and freebies.
I noticed this week that My Precious Pennies has some great freebies listed. They are hard to come by right now as my freebie list The Free Shoppe has been quite slow with finding them.
Lets start with Albertsons this week. Remember though, starting on Wednesday they will have a new sale going on.
I went in this week to pick up a few things and I saved quite a bit as I usually do. Since they take competitors coupons, I used one of my 5.00 off of 50.00 from the Entertainment book. I highly recommend getting an Entertainment book. They cost around 20.00 depending on where you live and they save you way more than they cost. I’ve already used 4 5.00 off coupons and that has saved me 20.00 exactly what I paid for it. You can usually get free shipping or some other kind of discount.
Albertsons is running an add for every 4 boxes of selected Kelloggs Cereal you can get them for 1.75 a box and if you have the coupons for 1.00 off of each box then you can get them for 75 cents a box. Also, General Mills is running their special. They seem to run one to two times every month. Right now for participating items every time you spend 20.00 you get 5.00 back. I purchased 4 packages of cookie dough, and four boxes of cereal. I had coupons adding up to 5.50 so I got all of it for 9.50. The register didn’t take it off though so I had to stop by customer service to get my 5.00 back. It really pays to check your receipt.
I know there are people out there that think coupons are a waste of time but that’s wrong. I went from 55.00 to 32.00 using coupons. That’s a savings of over 20.00 that’s not including what I saved from buying when something is on sale.
Safeway:
Here is an Oregon Deal:
Quaker Chewy Granola Bars are $2.99, buy two get three free. At the Keizer SAFEWAY there is a coupon machine right there with the granola bars with $1.00 off two boxes coupons.
10 boxes of granola bars (buy four get six free)
$11.96 ($2.99 x 4)
- 5.00 (-$1.00 x 5 coupons)
- 2.00 (SAFEWAY doubler)
$4.96 for 10 boxes of granola bars, $.50 per box. From the SupersaversinSalemOregon emailing list.
If you live in a state that doesn’t double coupons like I do, You should be able to use 10 coupons for 1.00 off each and get all of them for 1.96. There are Quaker coupons that you can get at the coupon clippers. Not sure if you can get them by Tuesday though. We’ll have to watch and see what the add is going to say next week.
See More Safeway Savings at The Super Coupon Girl. Wow she did well last week. It’s always good when you make money buying what you need.
Fred Meyer:
I briefly looked at the ad and didn’t see anything that would help me and their ad comes out on Sundays. Here is a deal The Super Coupon Girl did last week. You’ll have to keep up on her blog to find out how she saves this week coming up.
Walgreens:
All I know is that with a coupon the toothpaste I like to use is on sale. So maybe I can go to Walgreens to get free toothpaste.
You can check out Coupon Cravings
Later this week you will find more details from Walgreens at: Sisterly Savings, Keeping the Kingdom First and The “Cent”sible Sawyer and “Cents”able Mom.
Rite Aid:
GARNIER FRUCTIS Shampoo, Conditioner or Stylers Price: $2.99(After $2.99 mail-in rebate/on-line rebate, your final price is Free!) Add 1.00 coupon to that and you make a 1.00.
CVS:
CVS is not local to where I am. I am jealous of those that live near one because making money at CVS seems to happen all the time. Publix:
I don’t have a Publix either. I found some savings advice for you at the Coupon Saving Family
Target:
Now I looked through the Target ad and I don’t need anything. I’m stocked up on everything. I did notice Cheer is on sale and it hardly ever goes on sale so I already switched to a cheaper brand. I love Cheer as a laundry detergent, but I’m out to save my family money now. I did give up Latte’s before before I gave up Cheer so that says a lot about Cheer. I have Attention Target Shoppers in my RSS feeds in outlook so I saw that there is a place on-line that lists when stores are doing their deals. Here is Targets, but she did warn that they might switch it. It is called Deal Beacon. Oh and to let you all know, Target has marked down the boxes of Huggies Supreme that were 29.99 to 25.15 or something like that and they might go down cheaper Monday. Great savings on diapers.
WalMart:
We don’t even get an ad for WalMart so you can go to Mommy Snacks for WalMart savings.
If you want to see someone who has the pharmacy stores planned out on a budget of 800.00 for the whole year (that also includes g
rocerys) look at Justine’s Grocery Brags
for the coupons you might be out of.
If you’re passionate about cooking and looking to save some money, sign-up for e-mails from Rachel Ray’s website. You’ll get an e-mail every Monday with 10 recipes that you can make for under $10.

So This week I’m going to get diapers at Rite Aid. I have a gift card that I picked up last week for transferring a prescription.
3 Huggies Supreme at 9.99 a bag = 29.97 – (3 coupons for 1.5 = 4.50) – 2.00 single check rebate – 10.00 gift card. = 13.47 so three bags of diapers for 14 dollars is great. Now this is how I’m going to pay for them.
I will pay 25.47 ( that is 29.97 – 4.50) use my 25.00 gift card = .47 plus tax and then use my other gift card from the Proctor and Gamble promotion. I will have zero out of pocket. I will get the 2.00 back from the single check rebate and I will get a 10.00 gift card to use next month.
The tax might wipe out my P&G gift card but if I have any left I’m going to use it on the drug deal. Saying drug deal looks really bad. Perhaps I should say on the medication deal. I am looking for the best possible combination using coupons to spend 25.00 with the smallest amount out of pocket.
Pepto Bismal 2.99 (I’m still looking through my coupons for a coupon)
Children’s Tylenol 2 at 4.99 = 9.98 – 2.50 coupon = 7.48
Tylenol allergy cold 2 at 4.99 = 9.98 – 3.00 is the best coupon I can find = 7.00
Excedrin on sale for 1.99 – 2.00 SCR – 1.00 coupon = Make a dollar
Neosporan (looking for coupon and price)
Benefiber is 9.99 – 4.00 SCR – 2.00 coupon = 3.99 (I don’t need benefiber though so this doesn’t help me)
I’ll have to explain this deal after I make the purchase. All of the deals below the SCR lasts until January 24th unless you live in California and it lasts until January 22.
Bic Soleil – 2.00 SCR (still looking for the coupons)
Powerade – buy 5 for 5 get 1 SCR use the coupon 40 cent off coupon from the paper = 5 for 2.00
Glide – 1.00 SCR – 1.00 Coupon (not sure what the price is yet)
Electrasol – 2.00 Single Check Rebate combine that with coupon in the paper for 2.50 off = free.
So today I did it. I got all this for 11.80
Total before coupons was 93.77
This is a Turkey, 2 Dr Peppers, 11 pouches of tuna, 4 packages of sausage, four more fresh packages of sausage, 7 cans of baby food 3 packages of pop tarts, and 1 kit kat. Now this is funny. I had to buy the kit kat so that I could use a 5.00 off 50.00 coupon. I was at 49.79 or something like that so she said I had to buy something else to use the coupon. It was worth it.
How did I do this?
Coupons!!!!
Albertsons, takes competitor coupons. My five dollars off 50 was from the Entertainment book.
I had a 15.00 off turkey coupon from The Parent Bloggers Network, I had 2 free coupons for the Dr. Pepper for buying a turkey, I had 11 1.00 off coupons for the tuna (on sale for 10 for 10). The sausage was on sale for 2 for 5 with a coupon machine giving me 1.00 off coupons, so it ends up 2 for 3. Then each sausage had a coupon for one free fresh package of sausage. I went to Albertsons earlier this week and for buying all of this sausage I got a Catalina coupon for three dollars off. So I got all 8 packages of sausage for 3.00. WOW. I did spend more than I planned on because some of the packages of tuna I purchaesd were not on sale, but I wanted them anyways because they looked like a good flavor. Coupons do work!!!
