If you could only eat ONE food on Thanksgiving Day, what would it be? Do you have a home cooked meal for Thanksgiving or do you go out to eat? Does your family dress up?
I would love to eat Mexican food. We do this for Christmas at my grandmothers because by the time you have had four or five holidays (big family), everyone is tired of Turkey. Mexican food is my all time favorite food.
We’re going over to my MOMS Club. We always have a home cooked meal, although; last year since I was pregnant my husband wanted to take me out for dinner but I was too tired. So we had mac and cheese.
No, we don’t dress up. I do for Christmas though!
One more day to go!

Day Ten (November 25): Kimberly, All about KimberlyDo you decorate for the Holidays? Do you have a themed Christmas tree? Share pics! Do you think there is such a thing as OVER decorating?

I don’t have any pictures of our tree because I was pregnant. I don’t think you can over decorate and my husband would love a yard to do a Griswald Christmas with blow up decorations and fill up the whole yard. We have candy cane lights to go up our side walk.

These are two pictures of my daughter last year around Christmas. This is her Christmas dress and coat. We must have been getting ready to go to church. I don’t look dressed up but I couldn’t fit into anything decent.

Most unusual gift you have received? Best gift? Do you re-gift?

I usually don’t re-gift except for White Elephant gifts.

My best gift, was a cutting board my husband got me for my art. It is so easy to use and I can cut matts out to matt my art work. In college I majored in computer science but my emphasis was art. So I like to paint using water colors, oils, and acrylics. Oh wait.

Two years ago, we had a winter storm and we were without power for a week. I was 9 months pregnant and ready to burst. No shower, no heat, no light after four pm. I was miserable. When we called the power company they said we would be lucky to have power before Christmas. I was so depressed at the thought of spending Christmas in the dark. We got power back before Christmas. YEAH.

My most unusual gift. Nothing comes to mind.

DAY SEVEN QUESTION

Tell us who is on your naughty list? Who is on your nice list? Why?

Target is on my naughty list.

For those of you who have no read my post. Target was on the new saying that they are expected to have lower than normal prices on their website to compete with Walmart, but don’t get your hopes up because they may not honor the low price. I ordered a car seat from Target as did MANY other moms and I got an order confirmation, and even ebates got an order confirmation from Target. Then they sent me a cancellation. Saying we’re sorry, this was a price mistake.

Hmmmm. Well, I think they should honor the price. If I was in the store they would honor the price, why is it that websites don’t have to honor their prices. People are so upset over this they have decided to boycott Target. I don’t know how I can boycott Target. We don’t have a Walmart. I’m going to try to use Rite Aid and order on-line more so that I can boycott Target.

My Nice list?

My children of course. I love my children and they are so special and sweet. As are all of your children I’m sure.

Back to the naughty list…

I am on the naughty list. I am so far behind on my blogging because of this blog party. I don’t know how most of you are able to post to this party every day and do all of your other posts. I have a three reviews and some more I’m supposed to be working on and all I want to do is have fun in this party. I’m still not done posting to all of the day three participants, let alone starting on day four.

Thanks for stopping by.

Blog Party Day 6

So these are yesterday’s sponsors. I will update everything and get up to date this weekend. I’m just still fuming about Target

First I wanted to answer some questions from yesterday.

The trick or treat was organized by warning the neighborhood first. My MOMS Club dropped off bags to a neighborhood a week before Halloween with information on the bags saying we would be back at 11:00 in the afternoon to pick up the bags. So we got our kids all dressed up for Halloween and drug wagons around the neighborhood and picked up the food. We ended up with 20 bags of food.

I was hoping for more, but we noticed a few notices in the neighborhood for water shut off. That is one step away from losing your house. It was a nice neighborhood so I was surprised to see so many.

Favorite holiday memory from YOUR childhood?

My favorite memory is when my family would put the tree up. We would turn on the Christmas music and have a glass of eggnog. Then we would decorate the tree. My dad says we used to fight over who got to put up the star, but I don’t remember fighting all I remember is getting everything out and putting the ornaments on the tree.

We also had a candle decoration that when you light the candles the fan at the top would go around and around. It would also jingle a bell on every rotation. These are the kinds of memories I hope my children can have.

DAY FOUR QUESTION

What is your favorite Holiday recipe?

My favorite Holiday Recipe is a family secret..

It is called Texas Thanksgiving Dressing

My grandmother makes it every Thanksgiving and it is the best dressing you will ever come by.

Sorry this is so short, my kids and I are going to the baby gym this morning. My daughter wants to jump on the trampoline.

MomDot- BP Day One

Introduce us to your family

The party at MomDot

Merry Christmas from my daughter and I. I am Louise.
We love the snow and we had a ton of snow last year.

I am a mother of two and a wife to a very loving man with a very strong faith in God. He works at Microsoft doing top secret stuff. (Just kidding but he usually can’t talk about what he’s doing).

We got married after I graduated from college and moved up to the home base of Microsoft. After being married five years we were blessed with our daughter.

Zoe – her name means “full of life” and she lives up to her name every day.

She is still a bundle of joy now that she is 21 months old.

My son, is the biggest crack up ever. He has us in stitches every day. I love watching him grow and change and develop. Learning how to pick stuff up and say everything his sister says. It is amazing how much he learns from just watching her. So that is my family in a nut shell teeny tiny nutshell.

Christmas is small for us. It is just a close family of four for us. Going to Texas is hard, but that is where all the family is. So maybe next year we will go there but this year and last year (i was too pregnant to go anywhere).

Sorry this seems late to some of you. I live in the Pacific Northwest. I’ll do tomorrow’s post at Midnight so that it is up for you east coast and central time people. WOW you guys are fast.

Kushies – a quick visit

I am so excited about the blog party that is starting tomorrow. It is going to be HUGE. So be sure to go over to MomDot But what I’m telling you about today is Kushies.

The two are linked. Kushies is one of the sponsors of the Blog Party over at MomDot and over here. I’m part of the party. YEAH!!!!!!!

So, what is Kushies? Kushies is a company that makes toys, clothing, and well tons of stuff really. Check them out.

They have fabulous gift ideas for the holidays, great toys, the Kushies Zolo toy line,

I used to work at a toy store and this was one of my favorite products. It is perfect for your little one. It is a stacking toy, plus, it is excellent for teething on. I’m sure it would be great for 6 months to 3 years old. When stacking is complete the Zolo boa starts giggling. The kind of giggling that makes you smile.

Purchase Here

This is something I haven’t seen yet. My Bag, the ultimate travel and day care bag for kids. This is perfect for staying organized while traveling with the kids.

Guess what? Come January they will be introducing some new things from organic bedding to a folding baby travel bed. I could have used one of those last time we went to Texas. Oh and much much more. I know the organic bedding will interest lot of you green moms out there. I still have a long way to consider myself “green”. I’m trying but I have a long way to go.

If you want a chance to win some Kushies, you need to go visit MomDot.
