Coupon Mastery

So today I did it. I got all this for 11.80

Total before coupons was 93.77

This is a Turkey, 2 Dr Peppers, 11 pouches of tuna, 4 packages of sausage, four more fresh packages of sausage, 7 cans of baby food 3 packages of pop tarts, and 1 kit kat. Now this is funny. I had to buy the kit kat so that I could use a 5.00 off 50.00 coupon. I was at 49.79 or something like that so she said I had to buy something else to use the coupon. It was worth it.

How did I do this?
Coupons!!!!
Albertsons, takes competitor coupons. My five dollars off 50 was from the Entertainment book.
I had a 15.00 off turkey coupon from The Parent Bloggers Network, I had 2 free coupons for the Dr. Pepper for buying a turkey, I had 11 1.00 off coupons for the tuna (on sale for 10 for 10). The sausage was on sale for 2 for 5 with a coupon machine giving me 1.00 off coupons, so it ends up 2 for 3. Then each sausage had a coupon for one free fresh package of sausage. I went to Albertsons earlier this week and for buying all of this sausage I got a Catalina coupon for three dollars off. So I got all 8 packages of sausage for 3.00. WOW. I did spend more than I planned on because some of the packages of tuna I purchaesd were not on sale, but I wanted them anyways because they looked like a good flavor. Coupons do work!!!

Meal Plan Monday

Well I have to go to the grocery store again, just like every other family out there.
So a planning I go. I’m glad that I’m making this list because I just remembered I’m out of Mac and Cheese.

Monday – roast beef sandwiches
Tuesday – ravioliWed – potato soup
Thur – grilled sandwiches
Fri – potato soup
Sat – burritos (bean or beef)
Sun – hot dog rolls

ok,
I think I can get buy with a bag of potatoes, some crescent rolls, and some carrots. I have to go to Costco to get the carrots, need mac and cheese, grapes, check cheese supply. Baby food.

How we came out

Ok so we did a lot of shopping today.

We got Zoe and Miles five Christmas presents and saved 10 dollars with coupons and sale items.

We got groceries at Albertsons, including five bags of dog treats (that were too expensive to be FREE at Petco)

at Albertsons we saved 50 dollars – 32.00 were from coupons the rest were instore coupons or sale. But we only spent 46 dollars for necessities. I had some really great coupons this week. I had five free treat coupons, 2 free milk coupons, 1 free sour cream coupon, and we collected more coupons while walking around the store.

At Petco we bought the dog food we needed. We have found that if you spend a little more on dog food the BAD DOG gas goes away. So I wrote to Eukenuba and asked for coupons and they sent me three 3 dollar off coupons.

So overall today we saved

90.00 WOW. I love coupons Now. At first I didn’t think it was worth the trouble, but now I do.

I’m going to have another coupon giveaway tomorrow. Be sure to check back.

Saved 200 dollars

Yesterday during my Albertsons trip I saved 200 dollars. I wanted to go on a shopping spree afterwards but I didn’t. Today I went to target and had to get diapers and formula so I spent more than that but it was much easier to swallow the target expenses. Now, everyone wants to know HOW I did it. Here is how I saved.

I participated in one buy ten for 20 if you buy ten save an additional 5 so 10 for 15 then
I printed off ten one dollar coupons so 10 Quaker products for 5 dollars. I think one box not on sale is over 4 dollars so this is about a 45 dollar saving.

-45

I participated in three four for 10 and save three if you buy four meaning 4 for 7 and I had a coupon for every product.

I participated in 10 for 10 and save 3 dollars making every product 70 cents. I this is where the 30 cent or very small coupons come in handy. I had a coupon for every product.

I participated in one 3 for 10 and save 3 and had a coupon for every product.

I also bought things we needed, creamer, milk, gravy, tomato sauce, eggs. I had a coupon for the eggs (very rare to find these it was in the newspaper) I had coupons for creamer from the manufacturers website and a free coupon for the milk (for giving the company a compliment.)

Many people want to know how to save on produce or meat. I buy my produce at Costco. I freeze lots of stuff. If I can’t find a coupon for it, I usually get it at Costco because I have found that it is half price at Costco. Meat is usually 2 dollars a lb cheaper.

I was going to upload my entire grocery list but using Blogger i just couldn’t figure out how to make a table.

My savings were mostly buy getting things on sale and then I had 50 dollars worth of coupons. It took me three hours to gather all of my coupons from all of the manufacturers sites and clip from my newspaper coupons, but if you consider my savings that’s 65 dollars an hour. Not a bad pay. The cashier was even nice enough to tell me that they take competitors coupons. Oh, how I’m going to look for even more coupons. :-)
