Have you seen the new movie The Secret Life of Pets yet? If not you’re in a for a treat. You have to go see it, my whole family loved it. We loved it so much we decided to make a pet craft that would also double as an easy party activity for your family movie night or for a birthday party. Because this is a cat toy we’ve partnered with the Simple Solution on this post. Simple Solution has excellent tips for getting tough on pet stains and odors and we’re sharing those right after this cute craft.
We decided to make a Catch the Cat Toy! It’s super cute and so easy!
First get the supplies:
Choice of thick string, cord, wire or yarn
Dowel (with a hole drilled in it) or Knitting Stick (already has a hole in it)
If you are doing this craft with little ones you’ll want to cut your large pieces of felt into small rectangles. Then you might want to draw a leaf on it or allow them to get creative with their shape. It doesn’t have to be perfect it just has to be fun.
We found that if you use two different colors together it provides a fancy contrast but cats don’t care, they like it either way.
So attach the string to the end of the dowel and tie it in a knot. Then at the other end of the string, add a bell and then tie a knot around the leaves.
I have always loved cats and my kids sure do love cats. They are so playful and have so much personality. The personality can sometimes come out in the worst way.
My cat would always get upset at me when I would go out of town. To show me how much he loved me he would leave a special smell on my special things like clothes and carpet. With Simple Solution you can take care of these kinds of “accidents”. They recommend that you buy the right product for the job, use paper towels to pick up the mess and soak up any liquid and douse the soiled area with pet stain remover. And this is just the beginning of their great tips on getting rid of pet stains and odors.
