Chicago is one of my all time favorite cities to visit and here we will be attending the 2013 Chicago Auto Show and see all the new cars coming out in 2013 and a few for 2014 and also at least one car that will help you survive the upcoming zombie apocalypse, Elantra Coupe Zombie Survival Machine from Hyundai.
The Media Preview of the 2013 Chicago Auto Show will kick off on Thursday, Feb. 7 with the Midwest Automotive Media Association breakfast. Keynoting the breakfast will be Andy Goss, president and CEO at Jaguar Land Rover North America. As in years past, the first day of the Media Preview will feature a number of manufacturer-related press events, including confirmed conferences from BMW, Chevrolet, Kia, Nissan, Ram, Toyota and Volkswagen. The Economic Club of Chicago will return to host a luncheon event featuring guest speaker Henrik Fisker, co-founder, executive chairman, and chief designer at Fisker Automotive.
Friday Feb. 8 will feature an expansion of our social media day. Now branded #SMP13, it will include manufacturer media and marketing events as well as the WOMMA Digital Influencer breakfast; Autoweek, Edmunds and Cars.com roundtables discussions; and Technori Pitch.
LA over the past few years has become my second home. I’m there quite a few times during the year previewing movies and writing reviews. Feb 11 – 13 is still pretty tight lipped because they are still firming up the guest list. We will for sure be watching THE CROODS and maybe get a sneak peek at upcoming DreamWorks Animation films TURBO and MR. PEABBODY & SHERMAN. The event will also include a tour of the campus and 3 very special behind the scenes presentations hosted by THE CROODS filmmakers:
Chris Sanders / Director
Kirk DeMicco / Director
Kristine Belson / Producer
Jane Hartwell / Producer
