Apple Sausage Pancakes Recipe

Ingredients:

1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1 package Johnsonville maple brown sugar sausage links
1 can of apple pie filling

Directions:

Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon and salt in a large bowl.

In another bowl, beat the egg, milk, oil, and vanilla. Add to dry ingredients and mix well.

Next, pour the batter by 1/4 cupfuls onto a lightly greased hot griddle (stir the batter before pouring each batch). Turn when bubbles form on top of pancakes.

Cook until the second side is brown.

Brown the sausage either in the microwave or on the stove top in a pan for 5 minutes (follow directions on the package)

Let sausage cool and chop into pieces

Heat the apple pie filling in a sauce pan on top of the oven until it’s warm then add the sausage.

Top the pancakes with the apple sausage mixture.
